What is the point of having a manager walk them out to their car? What is the manager going to do if people start shooting, robbing, etc. outside in the parking lot?

Are you asking me to speculate about this person’s motivations? Obviously, I cannot get inside his head.

If I had to guess, I would posit that perhaps the manager was simply trying to placate a patron.

I didn't know a manager could stop bullets in mid-air.

I wasn’t asking you personally. Just anyone in general.

No shite! A game warden has to have his sidearm, but I can't carry into a fricking Outback? Seriously, a game warden has to carry his weapon on his body in an urban environment, but it's ok for the city or State to say my 2nd amendment right ends at the doorstep of a business?

If it's properly concealed, no one will know.

Mississippi is an open carry constitutional state. But, private businesses can post no weapons and you must comply. If you still insist, I believe you can be charged with trespassing.

so, in your opinion, he should stop doing business with the entire company because one local assistant manager misapplied a policy, and the company headquarters then corrected the error and apologized?

That seems a bit petty.

A stupid person misapplies a corporate policy that is wrongheaded to begin with and humiliates someone in public. Does that still sound petty?

I'm saying what I would do. The game warden in question is certainly free to continue to patronize Outback if he wishes, or not, and armed or unarmed. Outback is free to continue their "gun-free" policy (maybe they're channeling their Aussie vibe?)...I'm sure the bad guys will respect it too, but we're free also to comment and patronize them (or not) ourselves.

The game warden is free to have is own opinions, but since his job is to help manage fishing and hunting, my guess is that game wardens as a group are going to fall very heavily on the 2A side.

What if he saw some guys fishing in there without a license and he didn't have his firearm on him?

So dumb

See, THIS kind of crap is why some people knee jerk blindly support cops. Because half wits on the left are in a constant state of "karen" over the police with no logic whatsoever.

I don't think a business should be able to deny you your rights (in any case).

So a government official is turned away from a private business due to the business owner's policy.

And you want to protect the government official's "rights" over the business owner's rights?

Oh yeah, that makes it all better.

You people love you some Big Government when it suits you, but like to pretend like you don't.

frick Green Jeans, he doesn't have the constitutional right to eat at some fricked up chain restaurant.

No, the take home again should be that 'gun free zones' are ridiculous. Analogous to a Great Pyrenees dog free zone on a sheep farm.

Government didn’t say you can’t carry in Outback. Outback says you can’t. Private businesses can determine if they allow guns or not. If you don’t agree don’t give them your business. Free market economics.

Let’s not start pretending that we don’t shite all over private business rights every second of every day. As a country we’re arbitrary as hell when it comes to finishing your sentence.
