Local 3 News Chattanooga
A Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency officer was asked to leave the Outback Steakhouse in Cleveland Friday night because he had his service weapon on him.
In a public post on Facebook, Andrew Ward shared about the experience. He said he was asked by a manager to remove his weapon and put it in his vehicle. He explained that he had to have it on his person because he was in uniform.
According to the post, the manager made a phone call, then asked the officer to leave citing company policy that makes Outback a gun free zone.
The post has already been shared over 31,000 times.
Ward said Outback contacted him and apologized. They also gave him a $100 gift card.
In a follow-up Facebook post, Ward shared why the manager confronted him. He says a patron at another table reported being scared for her life.
"She said police are shooting people, and she could have gotten shot in the parking lot, and the manager had to walked her and her husband to their vehicle,"

What I have to say about the “scared” woman at the table:

I gotta be honest, I'm a little conflicted here.

A game warden in laymen’s terms.

If all folks like her really were shot the world would be a much better place

This is the 2nd or 3rd thread on the same story from 2021 (at least one of the bot accounts was pushing this).
Did thebigmuffaletta's account get hacked or were those his alts?

I reposted it because the other thread got whacked and people were saying the story was probably BS. It’s a factual story regardless of it being posted by a suspected spammer.

Husband should have handled up on this and we wouldn't be talking about it.

Can you say mentally ill and brain washed.
How about her rights of being a retard don’t outweigh his rights.

2018 article? Wtf
FTR, the complaining woman is an idiot, but if a property owner has a "no guns policy," EVERY patron should respect that policy. Even the game warden.

What I got out of this thread is that Outback is a gun free zone. Didn't know that. Won't be going there anymore. Thanks for the heads up!

What was the race of the female patron? One guess is all you're allowed.

quote:No shite! A game warden has to have his sidearm, but I can't carry into a fricking Outback? Seriously, a game warden has to carry his weapon on his body in an urban environment, but it's ok for the city or State to say my 2nd amendment right ends at the doorstep of a business?
I gotta be honest, I'm a little conflicted here.

I'll get downvoted, but sometimes both parties are assholes. Some restaurant patron pitched a fit and had to be "escorted" to the car, but also sounds like the game warden was trying to play billy badass wearing his gun inside a dang restaurant. Were there out of season deer hunters shooting at people in there?

My parents had a hunting and fishing store on the lake when I was growing up. Like cops they always have a few bozos that think they're Navy Seals because they get to wear a gun
