Ukraine wasn’t a nation in WW2. It was part of Russia.
And I don’t doubt a lot of Russians from the Ukraine did horrible things.
Russia did a lot of horrible things. They killed millions of people including millions of Russians.
Russia has a long history of brutality. They rape, they murder and that continues today.

The Ukrainians, especially in the western half of the country, seemed to always to have had a beef with the Poles. They were the biggest collection of and one of the more reliable collaborators that the Germans had in the World War II. Other than the Germans themselves, they may have been one of the biggest participants in the Holocaust. Ukrainian militia forces conducted military operations in cooperation with the German Army in Poland, the Baltic States, and Yugoslavia.

But that was then, and this is now.

Russia attacked Ukraine not because of what happened in the 40s, not because they wanted to rid the world of Nazis, but to bring back their “golden” years. Their empire. The days when they dominated Eastern Europe behind the iron curtain.
