Shapiro can be annoying, but he spent his show on Wednesday going through all the claims Candace has made, and I think his assessment is a fair one.

He said she's not stupid, but has the capacity to truly believe what she is saying, which makes her a talented presenter, and also a sociopath. He also called her a sadist.

I think that makes more sense than her being purely motivated by money or likes. She gets off from the hostile reactions her opponents have to her, which keeps feeding her delusion that she's over the target. Ben even said Candace would enjoy that he spent all day fending off her accusations.
