This is not correct. Halon is considered a “clean agent” suppression system that ads a 4th element to a fire and breaks up the chain reaction to extinguish a fire. The article said fire suppression system, and did not specify Halon. It could have been Pyrogen aerosol system which has has killed people during a accidental discharge.
