House GOP Conference Chairwoman Elise Stefanik and roughly 28 other chamber Republicans are backing a resolution to “expunge” the second impeachment of former President Trump.

The effort, first reported by the Daily Beast, is being led by Oklahoma Rep. Markwayne Mullin.

It would apply to Trump’s 2021 impeachment, which occurred in the wake of the Jan. 6, Capitol riot

“Democrats used their second impeachment resolution to once again weaponize one of the most grave and consequential powers of the House,” Mullin said in a statement. “This was never about the Constitution; it was rooted in personal politics.”

We don't need failure theater. Save it for next March after you impeach and remove the entire Biden Admin starting with Garland.

They should have held back on this until after mid-terms. At best it will just sit on a shelf until January, likely it will just get denied by Democrats prior to then and the GOP will have to re-introduce it again (which will depend on the size of the balls of the incoming group).

When do we repeal Obamacare? It's really easy for Repubs to make empty gestures that have no chance of advancement. When the are in power it will matter and they suddenly get quiet.

Donald J. Trump's Impeachment was based on fraudulent information. An associate of Hillary Clinton et al (including FBI assets)has now admitted that Hildebeest authorized the fake dossier. The same dossier that was used to approve a FISA warrant to spy on Trump's campaign.

People need to go to jail. Unfortunately the inmates (future) control the prison.

Why not first and second impeachment . Both were hoaxes on the base of false narratives .

And expunge the precedent of impeaching a US President after he/she has left office?

Hell no.

That's my Representative. He is running for the vacated Senate seat by Inhofe.

I have already told Mullin to his face that I am actively campaigning and donating to his opponents after he voted Yes for $40 billion to Ukraine.

When he originally ran for the house his big campaign issue was term limits. He promised he would only serve two terms. He’s on number three and now running for senate. When pressed about the lie by the press all he says is something about Obama and liberals are bad.
Dude is a fricking lying piece of shite. He needs to go back to snaking toilets and fixing drains

Ted Cruz did the same however, Cruz seems somewhat useful.

I hope he gets beat in the Senate race. He's vacating the House seat. I'm voting Dustin Roberts for OK-2. I know his family and he'd be a good rep.

I'm with ya on this one....I don't like liars, particularly a liar who used congressional term limits as a pitch for elected office.

they won't let them do this. they really need to delete both impeachments but I don't think the ukraine one stuck.

Trump is on tape before during and after SAYING PEACEFUL he never called for J6th happenings.

Also what happened to the 'tons of FBI agents at J6th' story that even a MSM reporter said.

I can be patient. But Garland has absolutely violated his oath of office and needs to be removed with prejudice.
