Aren't Thursday games in the NFL network?

They started out that way but enough people complained about not being able to see them that they started selling rights to broadcast networks. CBS shows them now but I don't think they have them the full season. They also stream on Amazon and were on twitter last year.

Well, for starters Thursday nights are meant for a primer college game to get us ready for the college games on Saturday. And second, frick the NFL.

Thursday night games are on both CBS and the NFL Network. Thursday night is a big night work television so by having the declining NFL on instead of a network drama like the rest of ABC, NBC, FOX, etc, they’re losing out.

Thursday games generally suck anyway

Yeah, generally. It was a good idea when it came out back in 2006-7 when it would be a few late season Thursday Night games starting on Thanksgiving Night. I don't know that the ratings have ever been that stellar in general for Thursday nights

So fans only show up to see the best team in the NFL because of Eric Berry?

And sure enough, the clowns want us to believe it has nothing to do with kneeling. Thursday is always bad.

Oh really? From 2015.

LINK

The eight-game Thursday Night Football package was once again a big success for CBS and NFL Network. It’s no secret why four channels are gearing up to bid at next year’s rights, following the expiration of CBS’ second consecutive one-year deal.

Given the ratings success and ferocious competition for next year’s TNF rights, how large of a check will the network have to write to bring those games back again? And will the eventual winner push for a multi-year agreement or is the NFL content seeing those rights fees rise with each subsequent year?

The story fricking sucked.

What networks?

Who are these "TV big-shots"?

The Sports Business Journal article blames oversaturation and doesn't mention Trump, but the hack hannity article runs with the title of the SBJ piece and draws conclusions that aren't even discussed in the article sourced.

No but a picture of a late season game in Arrowhead with Berry in it, kind of gives it away. The only way you get that few people in Arrowhead is either the Chiefs are losing badly or, the Chiefs have totally dismantled the opposing team

If the nfl would've just turned in the kneelers the first time rather than harboring them nothing would have happened. Now Sheriff Trump will get his justice either way

The Chiefs played in Oakland this year on Thursday. That is a day game in Arrowhead. That picture is stupid.

The Chiefs also wore all red due to color rush.

Trust me there are not that many empty seats at any Chiefs games, except in warm ups or the game is over. It has been that way since the Frank Ganz days. I believe the Leavy years were the only horrible attendance years.

in what many consider an “over-saturated” market.

They may be spooked by what happened to tennis. There was a HUGE tennis boom on TV in the 1970s. But there were only 4 or 5 tournaments on TV in a year and everyone looked forward to watching their favorite star. Everyone started playing tennis.

So, they started showing tennis on TV every week. It became boring. Ratings plunged in the 1980s. Tennis clubs went out of business by the 1990s.

But if football is over-saturated how come college football games in the mid week have not fallen off?

Some preseason game or blowout from seasons past perhaps ? Nothing to do with some supposed boycott this season.
Yeah. It shows up on a lot of crap sites with no citation.
