He's got the highest rated show on cable. He had an episode recently that had more viewer than any show on network tv. They're not firing the highest rated guy on all of tv because he said something non PC.

Joe Rogan Spotify Deal
He has been offered tens of millions of dollars before, but has turned all offers down till this one from Spotify. Gets over $100M and maintains full ownership over his podcast. I’m not even sure how they evaluated it, but I’d speculate $100M is underpaying. And apparently he netted $40K per episode before the deal with Spotify.

Yep, he's emboldened. He told Dave Rubin a couple of years ago that being bullied and seeing others bullied is one thing he truly hates. The cancel culture bullshite of the last month has set him off.
He also said on-air that FNC had his back when the sponsors pulled out, just like he has said multiple times before when he came under fire. He's not going anywhere, and he'll continue to criticize what he feels are dangerous ideologies.
