Some of the darker and more cynical baws are picking up that relativistic view of politics that used to be eschewed by Republicans (in those days, relativism was really owned by the far left). Most baws will throw a bone to it for whataboutisms' sake, but really don't want to consciously embrace the relativism. It's more about participating in the tribal stories/jocularity for most and pointing out that truth isn't relevant just harshes the vibe.
