Ok. So since I know jack shet about trading, investments, etc, I wanted to know why opening this area was bad.
From what my limited knowledge gives me understanding of... Is that with these types of investments you may not be able to get any of your money back.
Am I reading that right?

The problem is that, regardless of whether stable NAVs are a problem in traditional private funds, they could be a big problem for retail investors in non-traded funds that offer periodic liquidity. The reason is that retail investors might not fully grasp that stable NAVs offer no assurance that they will be able to cash out their investments at their reported valuations or even that they will be able to cash out at all. If investors rush to withdraw their money during a prolonged downturn, a fund manager has to either (1) sell assets at a loss to fund withdrawals or (2) sharply limit withdrawals. These options would either hand retail investors surprising losses or leave them cash poor at an inopportune moment.

here you are cheerleading thievery. Shameful.
I'll turn myself in tomorrow morning.
I won't be calling you, though. I'm going to need a real lawyer, not someone who argues over how much time Daddy will get to spend with his kids.

This could eventually give everyday investors much easier access to private equity/private companies—potentially a significant expansion of the investment universe, but with fewer protections and less transparency than public markets.
Interesting......

I honestly did not think you had these two things in you.
1) a post with more than one sentence
2) a troll post.
Got really good bites, so yeah...keep it up.

They’re coming after your savings accounts and 401(k)s. This cannot stand!!! Please rage with me over this blatant communism by the Trump administration!!!!
Oh for the love of Pete …. try to keep up. Congress approved access to consumer bank accounts, savings, and 401k’ several years ago …. under the Obama administration.
The time for outrage has passed, Rumpelstiltskin
