Ohhh you mean the New York Post that’s owned by Rupert Murdoch who just happens to be a central figure in Ron Desantis’s campaign. What a coincidence.

It doesn't matter who you hear it from. Tell me what is wrong about the gist of the article. Hear it is.
"Ex president Trump is rising in the polls for the GOP nomination, and fund-raising big-time, in the wake of Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg’s blatantly political indictment.
That’s great news . . . for President Joe Biden, and Democrats generally.
In the Real Clear Politics polling average, Biden scores at 42.1% favorable, 52.4% unfavorable: Republicans can clearly beat him in 2024.
But probably not if they nominate Trump, who stands at 38.4% favorable, 55.8% unfavorable, for a net -17 points."

If this is the case Trump will not win the primary. So it's fun to quibble about this but wake me up next summer.

The hysteria only highlights how thin any real support for Desantis is.

FYI, Trump favorable/unfavorable in April 2016 was net -31.
In November 2016, on the actual day he was elected President, he was -21.

“If (Trump) is the nominee in 2024, Joe Biden will be the president in 2025,” Christie said.

'It's like he's Voldemort': Chris Christie attacks potential 2024 opponents for not going after Trump
USA Today April 21, 2023
“It’s like he’s Voldemort,” Christie said, “You’re not going to beat someone by closing your eyes, clicking your heels together three times and saying there’s no place like home.”
Christie blames Biden administration on Trump
“He failed us as president based on what he himself told us in 2015, in 2016, what he would do when he became president,” said Christie, who supported Trump in the 2016 and 2020 elections. “He failed us as a president on the promises he made to us.”
Christie blasted Trump for a plethora of reasons, pointing out his failure to repeal the Affordable Care Act, mocking his attempts to build a wall across the southern border and slamming his campaign message “to drain the swamp” in Washington.
Trump’s biggest flaw? His attempts to overturn the 2020 election, Christie said.
“He undermined our democracy. And the only reason he undermined our democracy was because he was pissed,” Christie said. “He undermined our democracy because he was angry we didn’t reelect him.
“He knows he lost to Joe Biden,” Christie added, “and that’s why he’s so upset.”
“Biden is the product of Trump’s failures,” Christie said. If Trump wins the GOP primary in 2024, Christie made clear he believes Republicans will see a repeat of 2020.
“If (Trump) is the nominee in 2024, Joe Biden will be the president in 2025,” Christie said.

How do you figure? If Trump is polling 38% favorable in a national poll, and assuming that poll (reasonably) accurately reflects the partisan makeup of likely voters, doesn't the poll indicate he'd win the primary comfortably?

Joe Biden may very well do so. He would be picking up new votes of however many of y’all it is.

Yet even if Biden is in free-fall by next November, Trump still makes for a terrible nominee, because it’s all too easy for Democrats and their media allies to make the race a referendum on him, not on the incumbent’s misrule.
So much to quote in that article but this stands out.
Donald Trump doesn’t have a single pebble he can get traction with. Not one. The entirety of the MSM (news, sports and entertainment) is against him. Any press he gets at all will be negative. For the most part, the MSM will simply ignore him.
He has no media leverage at all. What Roosevelt was to radio and Kennedy was to TV. Trump was to social media. Well now even that's gone.
He's too frickin' dumb to dance with the date that brung him and get back on Twitter and his own brand of Social media is a giggle fest.
There's no "You have to go back" moment that can ignite people and everyone's opinions of him are fully crystallized by now.
It's over for Donald Trump. He'll never see the inside of the White House again. The only way he can influence the future of this country now is to give the White House to the opposition. Which he will happily do.

Anybody know why jjdoc won't post a general election poll?

Are you stupid.
You can go to RealClearPolitics and see every general election poll you want.
In polls released over the last 2 months here what they show:
Trump vs Biden, Trump +1.3
Desantis vs Biden, Desantis +1.7
This massively undercuts the idea that Desantis is somehow more electable that Trump.
Both men face the same headwinds. Each could win or lose a fair election.
RobBots act like Desantis is some sure thing. It's nothing more than an opinion backed up by zero data and Trump hatred.
Here is your link dummy. Revisit as often as you like

Preach! But most of them only pretended to vote for OMB back when, they really hated him from the beginning.
