He wasn't bluffing. He meant today regarding by the end of the week. He is on the phone with them at all times in between golfing making the media melt down. I love it!

Press conference today at 3:30 I’m assuming it is 2:30 central time. It seems like he can suspend the payroll tax but Congress would have to vote to not collect it when the order expires.

Then why are there reports of people getting texts and registering online for a 'mail in ballot' and mail in ballots spread around?

SCOTUS ruled he could redirect money for the wall. What is the difference? Congress has already approved the money for the Covid-19 crises. Trump is using it for the crises. He is just stipulating specifically how it will be used. Don't approve money if you don't want POTUS to use it.

Trump last nite said that the Democrats "will probably sue to stop it but I get sued all the time". Any suit would delay the EO's. But if a person has been laid off, there are no Federal taxes to be withheld so how does that person get any immediate financial relief?

This is a VERY dangerous action. I recognize that Obama and Roberts set the precedent for this type of action but it is 100% unconstitutional. Today it’s “our guy” so it’s OK. Remember that someday the election pendulum swings.
It is for these types of situations that I was happy to not have to vote for Trump last go around. He is in no way a conservative and if he acts on his own- with his phone and his pen- he is accelerating the destruction of our democratic republic
