The other way to look at it is that people bitch so much about everything he does that giving them an excuse to whine about how the military is falling apart under his leadership because of a common mishap doesn't make much sense.

And you know they would do it.

If people could actually be objective, it wouldn't be a big deal. But the left and a large number of the right are looking for any reason to smear him before the midterms.

Why should Trump give them ammunition no matter how benign it actually is?

This is the environment created by those looking for a reason to complain about anything and everything.

No one has to "look for a reason" these days. He's smacking everyone in the face with reasons almost daily

Ill give you another and its a classic. I had a friend at Auburn whose dad was a big GOP booster and got him a job working as a "front man" for Bush when he was VP.

Most of the time he spent at Bush house and was a gopher for Barbara. He said she was like his grandmother asking questions. Guy was loaded and great looking, friggin engaged three times at Auburn. He got sick while working for Bush and spent time in the hospital, fell in love with a nurse and she refused to go out with him and he could not believe it.

Bush wins the presidency, Barbara pulls my friend aside at the house and says "lookee here, two tickets to inaugural ball, lets see her turn you down now".

So he takes the chick to the ball, Barbara comes trolling by, sees my friend and the chick and stops and says "Girlfriend if I could look like you wearing that dress Id be wearing it 24/7". Turns her head so only my friend could see and gives him a big wink.

Next day at the house she comes bopping down the steps looks across the room (with several friends present) and says "So did ya get lucky".

What a woman.
