shite, Joe traded the Merchant of Death for a drugged out lesbian basketball player who hates the US.

That was a diplomatic master stroke that undoubtedly saved million of lives.

right?

So you're an isolationist. No one else is worthy of helping? Or is it just you want to win the argument because you hate the Jewish people?

You must be a progressive, theyre the only ones who continually confuse non-intervention with isolationism.

By the way the "your" you were looking for is "you're". As in "if you are wasting your families resources". You might want to back off a little on your condescending, know-it-all attitude until you learn to correctly use the English language.

What do you know about the “Americans” held hostage by Hamas?

Did any of them serve in the US military?

Did any of them serve in the Israeli Defense Forces?

Were any of them just visiting Israel when captured?

How many are full-time, repatriated residents of Israel?

When you answer these, then tell me how we should commit treasure and blood to rescue them.

I dont care about any of that. The only thing that matters is that they are American.

I would not commit any boots onto the ground but I would be ok with our demanding our citizens be released. If they fail to do so within a very short timeframe I would be 100% ok with dropping a MOAB on wherever the Hamas leadership is hanging out

Does that explain my position clearly?

He never said that. Classic example of an equivocation logical fallacy.

Being against supporting the State of Israel is not part and parcel equated with being against Jewish people (whether used in a racial and/or religious context).

We need to have Hamas hold the hostages for a bit longer so we can let Israel murder 30,000 more children

Let's see. "non-intervention" would be refraining from telling your neighbor what he can/cannot do on his own land. You certainly can help him if you choose to and not be intervening.

isolationism would be remaining apart from the affairs or interests of other groups, especially the political affairs of other countries. (sounds very similar to not intervening).

You seem to be making a distinction without a difference.

Its a common mistake, Gomer. I totally undrestand the English language, and unlike you understand the difference between isolationism and Non Interventionism.

Yes, it explains that you have no idea that more explosive tonnage has been dropped from the air on Gaza alone since Oct 7 than ALL combined bombing by the allies during the entirety of WW2.

How has that worked out? 50k plus civilians killed to date.

Continue on with your hatred in your heart if it warms you.

Think of it this way. In my life, my wife and kids come first. There is a snow storm. My wife and kids are stuck in the ditch. As I drive to get them out, I see your family stuck in a ditch. I help my family first. When they are out, should we go home and leave your family there to freeze? My family comes first after all.

Last I checked there are Americans in southern Appalachia currently freezing in tents and cars.

I never said he did, simply asked a question. One he didn't answer.

No, its exactly as it sounds.

quote:

Isolationism refers to a general attitude of noninterference with other nations, or with the avoidance of connections that may lead to disruption, conflict, or war123. In its purest form, isolationism opposes all commitments to foreign countries including treaties and trade agreements2. Non-interventionism, on the other hand, means an avoidance of military alliances that can lead to war1. This is the sort practiced most famously by Switzerland1.

Am I intervening, if I pull your wife out of her burning car in the ditch? Or stop some follower of that "peaceful religion" from raping your daughter? Not that I would, in your case I'd likely enjoy the show.
