How could he do that when they were all working against him? It only works when you are part of their Cult.
See for them to be a weapon that means they have to bend the rules and do things that are not right. They have to justify it that it is for their religion and is the right thing to do. Lying, Stealing, etc can be justified by them if it is for the Cult.

I'm not like you who will never criticize the cult leader. Admit it you worship him....he can do no wrong in your eyes. Yeah, I'm tired of him. He's a fool and plays so many of you for fools. I honestly think a lot of people would rather go back to pretend-world where all is well in DC and one of the most popular presidents in recent history didn’t weaponize half the damned government to spy on and try to “dirty up” the opposition. Maybe if Trump’s out of the news they can mentally wind back the clock, watch CNN for “news”, forget about Ukrainian money laundering, forget about inflation and go back to believing that the FBI is about Truth, Justice and the American Way.
