The last thing a President should do is listen to the voices of the 'people'.

Here is a news flash for you moron.

Trophy hunters are still going to Africa and killing these animals even though they can’t bring anything back.

I hunted with a couple guides that hunt Africa every year and they haven’t seen a decline in hunting because of this useless law.

I'd leave the decision up to the countries where the hunting is occurring. It's their wildlife to protect and if they want the hunters paying big bucks then let them.

like i said in the other thread on this topic

the animals that are killed are chosen specifically for culling reasons. they're going to die, the only question is if a park ranger or rich Westerner does it

The only reason elephants are under threat is because of third world inhabitants. Dirt poor Asians who think ivory helps their lupus,ED, halitosis, and messed up eyes all at the same time. And Africans..well they do it either to sell to the Chinese or because they have no care for life it seems.

These animals have been hunted for centuries. The difference now is tight regulation by biologists who are trying to balance the wild with the presence of man.

Ive been to Africa many times and lions are typically segregated from other animals on most ranges to prevent them from gorging on herds. Because of this, overpopulation and breeding issues become a problem. Guided hunts bring the apex predator back into the equation to restore balance. The fees pay for Rangers who protect animals against a vigorous poaching trade fueled by asian black markets. The meat is almost always gifted to local villagers. Lastly, the land becomes lucrative in its natural state as a game range. Otherwise, it would almost certainly be cleared for agriculture forcing animals out of their habitat.

Surely Trump wouldn't sign something without understanding what he was signing and the possible ramifications

Serious question... Do you EVER attempt to educate yourself on these matters before posting? Or do you just blindly follow the lead of your fellow leftists and declare everything Trump does to be evil... Because, well... After all, it is Trump?

I'm a hunter,deer,squirrel,ducks,rabbits,dove...

These are hunted for food and there is an art to hunting them.

Why in the hell would anyone want to kill an elephant other than to think their little peter will get bigger because they slaughtered a slow moving bus?

leave these big guys alone...

So you’re supportive of Trump here?

This is pretty telling when libs are latching onto the President’s handling of DEAD F-ING ELEPHANTS.

Private hunting is beneficial

There is never anything beneficial about hunting and killing an elephant, or poaching them. It's cruel and abhorrent treatment of these magnificent animals
