The craziest outcome of this is the EU getting closer to both China and Iran

So the only way we have a trading partner in the EU is our military forces being held hostage?
You think we can sustain our relationship with them with this mentality

We can't sustain our economy by relying on poor countries like Poland, El Salvador, and Venezuela
Yes we can. American First baby. We can trade amongst ourselves. Who needs the rest of the world. They’ve been screwing us for decades and the free ride is over and we will just trade with ourselves.
But before we do that, we need to put tariffs on all blue states because they are commies. And if they don’t like it, we will secede and trade amongst red states only.
That will learn them.

The petrodollar will be no more if that’s the case

You’re retarded. So you know how many other facets of the economy are affected by oil prices?

Trying not to be insulting, but your post lacks basic understanding.
My post reflects the expectation that this impasse will be over in a month, and the world (and gas prices) will be far better for it. My post reflects the understanding that Iran was going to eventually try to seize control of Hormuz at a time of its choosing.
Now they're trying to to seize control of Hormuz under very different circumstances. If we pull out, is the IRGC really going to fire on French, German, UK or Chinese escort warships in the strait?

Spent billions, lost 13 lives with over 300 wounded, Iran was not an imminent threat to US soil, extremism still rules Iran and that won't change, sealed the fate in the mid-terms, considering conceding the control of the strait of Hormuz which will just allow Iran to control it and make money to finance extremism. And Trump calls it a victory.
He may easily end up being the worst Republican president of all time when this is all said and done.

lol at the Panicans - this is still one of the best terms in history- many wait a few months to judge things - he always ends up winning

No, they’ll just charge a fee and Europe will pay it.
Mission accomplished?

The Strait was not an issue before.
The DNI amongst others has stated Iran posed no imminent threat.
It’s disingenuous to claim Iran would’ve closed the Strait eventually. Only select diehards believe that.

That’s a rationalization being used after the fact. It just is.
