His own DOJ isn’t going to indict over campaign finance. It will be a fine just like Obama got. Plus you can’t indict a sitting president.

He won’t be impeached either. That would be political suicide for Dems and they don’t have the votes to remove him anyways.

This was just simply “red meat” to focus on because there was no collusion found so they had to have something.

There will be nothing on campaign finance.

There is literally nothing there.

FWIW, the indictment would originate from NY, not DC.

I agree.
I hope the Dems do try to impeach though.

That indictment is going to go up to the SCOTUS and get struck down.

You do understand that ALL Federal Prosecutors work for the Justice Department, right?

I agree that nothing will be done. 2 things that piss me off about this 1) How many tax payer dollars were wasted in this "investigation" 2) If the dims would work with him half as much as they fight him what could be accomplished in the next 6 years? Think about that one.

I think the Libs forgot about this.

They are going all in on SDNY going after Trump. Most seem to agree it's a losing position legally but that it would be politically damaging to Trump.

Of course not. He's an unindicted co-conspirator

Why isn’t “Cleared” on the front page of the NYT?

The more important question in all this: When does the complete housecleaning at Justice and FBI start?

What NY campaign finance statute will President Trump be indicted over?

It’s not happening at a federal level because 1. The former director of the FEC said their is no campaign finance violation (not even enough for a fine) and 2. the DOJ has a standing policy that sitting presidents cannot be indicted.

They are going to impeach him in the house even if there is nothing. Not sure why you think it is political suicide. Their base thinks he is Hitler. Don't need no stinkin evidence to Peach it up against Hitler.

I'm going to enjoy the melt when the fruits of two years of Democratic hopes and dreams in Mueller's investigation into Russian collusion results in only a $55k fine for campaign finance violations, which occurs in almost every Presidential campaign, including Black Jesus.

There is a reason Bernie is warning against it. All it takes is for one “resist” troop to look into the actual details of what it is happening to flip the movement. One thing that the “occupy” type people hate more than DJT is “the man”. “The DOJ is the enemy” is a great dog whistle.
