Bruh, Reagan and Nixon wiped out the democrats in the electoral college. No republican has done so since. This was a very close election in terms of percentages. It is a divided country. And Trump has to do a bang up job for a republican to win in 2028.

That’s exactly the thing. And why a lot of us say, while you can punch at DeSantis for shaking hands with undesirables, Trump has to do the same. The extremes don’t realize or care to understand that. Trump 2.0 may accomplish a lot, but there will be some undesired handshaking. It’s politics.

It’s very akin to Rand in 2016. Both were some of the worst campaigns in recent memory, but both are extremely productive with their results.
I actually will argue that its Elon as much as Trump but Trump recognized that Elon had the skills

I know a guy who's going to work at DOGE in a Exec position focused on infrastructure issues
As a reminder Trump had said in his first administration he was either going to overturn Obamacare or build up on infrastructure as his main priority he chose Obamacare and then failed to move the needle
infrastructure is an easy one for them to pick up on albeit without Biden's idiotic changes

Most people forget the quarreling between him and Elon in his first term. He saw Elon as a necessary beggar. I think these 4 years off let him and Elon regroup. Elon saw the government making a harsh turn, and Trump saw Elon as a great ally. It’s a perfect marriage.

It’s been no secret that Trump’s team despises DeSantis and his team. Susie Wiles was recommended to run DeSantis’ gubernatorial campaign in 2022 and they didn’t get along, so she rejoined Trump and helped him plot his comeback.

A few of you love to criticize Trump for a lot of things and Ron is just as bad. It was funny though seeing people turn Ron into a Navy Seal who was gonna steal Iowa and then run the country.
