Why in the world would anyone want to pull DeSantis away from his highly successful work as governor of Florida? He serves in a much better capacity as an elected official of the state of Florida than he ever would as an appointee to a federal position.
DeSantis would be an excellent president and has shown an interest in the office. Stepping away from the successful governorship in Florida would, in my opinion, be detrimental to his chances to run a successful bid for the presidency in the future.
Running against Trump in the primary wasn't a sin. Suppose the Dems had been successful in convicting and incarcerating Trump to keep him off the ticket. Can you think of anyone else that ran in the Republican primary who would have been better suited and better qualified than DeSantis?
When it was becoming apparent that Trump had the backing of the electorate, and was more than likely going to survive the Democrat lawfare onslaught, DeSantis stepped away and fell in position supporting Trump. I don't see tht any sin was committed, not do I see that DeSantis attempted to thwart the idea of MAGA in any shape, fashion, or form.

it speaks the fact that Trump can't even control his own inner circle before Christmas
