This is the USA. We don't have kings. We do, however, have TrumpCult.

Sad!

The hardcore MAGA for some reason still hate DeSantis almost more than Nancy Pelosi ,Mitch McConnell and Paul Ryan

He's the best Republican governor/legislator in the country, but, sure.

This is true but when people say this I’m curious who their top 5 republican governors are that compare. Most governors are irrelevant and most governors aren’t known outside their state unless it’s a huge state.

I meant to add, I also don’t think Gaetz was a hill to die on. Save your ammunition for the bigger fights. I don’t think Gaetz is as invested as we were being told to believe.

Then he must not have future political ambitions. If he does, that would be another big blunder. A bigger blunder than his decision to run in 2024 and say he was never MAGA.

He doesn’t. He ran because he saw an opportunity, and more than likely thought, incorrectly, Trump was going to be collapsed by the weight of the federal government trying to take him down. Some see this as a slight, and I see it as he had a backup plan. If Trump falls, we have Ron as option 2, and that’s a great thing. Better than Haley or Vivek and any Democrat.

Or he correctly realizes when trump is gone, MAGA dissolves.

It's gonna take a while to turn people like Proximo around. He will probably fall all in for DJTJr for 2028. Being a governor of a red state is just not good enough.

It doesn’t. He is MAGA. That’s what hurts so many heads.

By any measurable conservatives or MAGAs use to gage a politician's success not just winning a campaign
but bringing about changes in government efficiency focus

DeSantis As governor of Florida has been a success

But running the state of Florida is a very very different challenge than running a country or running a national campaign

Ron might very well be capable of running a national government we don't know.
President is just a different animal than governor, especially of a state that Republicans had ahold of as they do Florida

but he was horrible at running a national campaign

absolutely terrible

He made the mistake of hiring opportunists who saw The odds that Trump wouldn't be the nominee and they played their hand To get the job without having the ability to do the job

The people they contracted with state by state were all too often never trumpers in the campaign That was not an accurate reflection of desantis himself but that was the staff including the people that work at Florida's voice

and as a national effort just never got the second step

That's on him for trusting the wrong people and he'll learn as Trump learned from trusting the wrong people his first administration

I still believe that the nomination is Vance's to take especially with it only being four years
the race starts January 22.25

DeSantis doesn't have a national base to operate from
Vance does

Bro, the Republican party is MAGA now. MAGA is movement bigger than anything seen before. I would argue it's in it's early stages.

It’s very akin to Rand in 2016. Both were some of the worst campaigns in recent memory, but both are extremely productive with their results.

That being said, Vance seems to have the charm and savvy. Results are soon to follow. It is his to lose. The best thing is, we have a strong bench, regardless of outcome. The potential for pushing towards better and broader goals is easily in the Republicans favor. They’ve set up a stellar cast, and that may have been the goal all along.

And like any political movement, it is going to have to make bargains and deals with people who are less committed to the movement and just simply professionals

There aren't enough people who know how to do the work
to have it left up to losers like Eric having any real responsibility

you don't understand that it's a business like everything else

In Super MAGA states like Texas it's the same people running the statewide campaigns as ever before
