Well I was just staying on topic that someone could have the common sense to be governor and win a presidential race

I immediately saw the misspelling of the name, which caused me to look into who was the original source of the theory. I concluded it was a typo misspelling, or a dumb foreigner bot.

The recording had the theory of Barr, it made it interesting. No need for you to have a conniption of how 'stupid' anyone was.

You are quite a conundrum. As your summation in this thread about DeSantis overall -was outstanding. that I agree with.

If you leave DeSantis challenging Trump out of the equation. DeSantis with his top gun video was a horrible POTUS candidate, full stop.

He is a great Governor, with the balls to fire the democrat election official hacks that infiltrated Fla. politics. Your post in this thread was even keeled and spot on.

I went to look for all of the photos of the army-navy game and could not find DeSantis. On the main Desantis X page, is a photo of DeSantis not in the Trump Suite.

All's I could find was this... And it is cringe AF and meant to be divisive and I hope not how DeSantis feels.

Ron DeSantis heads to Army Navy Game, but likely won’t be Defense Secretary

I was fully expecting DeSantis to be with Trump as reported. and it not to be solely about any position. What is going on? Distancing from Trump and listless vessels will not oust JD Vance from 2028.

Was DeSantis in the Suite and the pics haven't been posted?

As a great Governor I was really hoping that they could just all enjoy the game. DeSantis was seemingly in the stands, not the Trump/Vance suite.

EDIT: BTW I think Lara Trump would be a fine pick given the low bar that is the U.S. Senate these days

I was hoping the beef would be squashed but apparently it's not going to be. I think its less between Ron and Don at this point than Trump's circle led by Suzy Wiles. Also reading JD is none to happy with the thought of DeSantis in a Cabinet role. He would definitely get over shadowed.

I was really hoping that DeSantis could get on this team and come on for the win. I think Trump knows DeSantis would be a vastly better SecDef but is a bit painted in the corner. if he backs down there will be blood in the water on his other picks like Tulsi and RFK so he can't reverse course. Plus Ron in the Cabinet could be divisive if his Chief of Staff and VP don't want it.

That said, Ron has all the leverage here on this appointment so will be interesting to see how it plays out. Trump will probably never forgive him if he doesn't give it to her but sounds like he is boxed in a bit on what he can do to help Ron.
