Trump Vs Vance: About to Play Out For All to See?

In addition to Vance's tweet about the Iran war being to blame for the bloodbath on Tuesday, apparently his team has leaked to publications that Vance opposed the Iran war behind closed doors and told the President not to engage in February.
Sounds like Vance distancing himself from the clusterfrick in an effort to save face prior to 2028.
Problem for him is he led the MOU negotiations.

We knew this when the bombing started.

Well Vance did a good job of falling in line and supporting in public. Gonna be hard for him to say he wasn't part of the clusterfrick, especially when he negotiated the MOU.

This isn’t exactly new news

This is a big problem for him
But he will have the qatari podcasters behind him to push the narrative

The VP has no power other than to give advice to the President. He said don't do it, they did it, so as a good VP, he supported his boss. The only other option is to resign. No politician is going to resign as VP unless through scandal.

I think he could probably spin the MOU in his favor if he threads it carefully.
Vance could be hoping the Dems make the mistake of impeaching Trump, all he has to do is distance himself and let them do it. Vance gets power and if he turns the car around he is going to win election.
It’s a bit of a tight rope walk though, Trump is radio active but could still have enough support that it makes being on his bad side hard to win even if a lot of the maga tent comes over.
Imo the left would be making a big mistake going after Trump and letting Vance have the driver seat for the next two years. If he gets in and sacks Wiles, and then actually delivers on campaign promises he will be hard to stop. The platform him and Trump won on is still a winner mostly because Trump broke every promise. Vance is a lot less polarizing and slicker than Trump. Trump is a great brute force object but not as effective as a communicator when he is in power.
Plus JD has Usha and the kids so that could pull women and the Indians over.
I hope the left makes the mistake of going after DJT and pushes him out to allow a Vance rise.
It’s best for Vance if he doesn’t have to actually plunge the knife in Trumps back, let the left and others do it. Just come in and clean up the pieces and take advantage.
As of this moment as much as I love the brash Trump, if the right is to win the presidency in 28 he has to be impeached and Vance stay enough on his side that he can be used as a rally point. Otherwise Vance is toast and the only electable republican would be big dick Ron. The problem would be who could run with him.
We might see exactly how big of a political animal Vance is.

That’s what a good subordinate is supposed to do. You debate; the leader listens to all and makes a decision; then everyone salutes and supports the decision.

It was reported at the beginning of the War that Vance was among the opponents of launching the operation.
Of course, in public, he has supported it for 9 months. A large problem for him.

Understand, but you can't put the worms back in the can at this point with that tweet and his people leaking things.
I'd be this is going to get pretty messy and there will be a mean girls tweet from Trump at some point.

I wonder how that would play. I don't think there's any gain for him as Trumpkins would shadow ban him and refuse to support him in 28'

Or, maybe this is just part of the admin’s way to an off-ramp of this shite.

Yea resigning wasn’t a real option if you want to win.
He probably should have said less in public after coming out against it. He has room to navigate out of it, he doesn’t need the left to believe him or win them. He isn’t going to do that, but he needs the independent voters, the low propensity voters on the right, the expanded actual maga tent to be able to put that aside.
It’s not nearly as good of position as if Trump had just not betrayed the base like he did, but he has a road to still be electable. The American public has the memory of a gold fish and it’s not like the left is effective.

The road for Vance is probably something like this, Trump gets impeached in Jan or Feb, the threat of some of the left over establishment going with the Dems leads to resigning. Vance takes over, keeps the not giving Israel aid anymore, ends the Iran shite (even if it gets Iran a better deal than they would have, get the peace so that takes the war out) we can deal with them in year 3 of his first full term. Then you get a much better press secretary, you reorganize so ice is doing their jobs but don’t give the Dems air to blow up everything with it, the way you do that is stopping them at the border and trying to herd the illegals into areas that Dems are, I’d target converting prosperities in deep blue areas into housing for them until deportation and also inner cities, then you have fired up inner city blacks mad that illegals are getting their things. You get some street justice and you make the left choose. Then you do anything and everything to get American paychecks back. It’s a hard tight rope against media and those that would say he backstabbed Trump so he has to keep his hands clean, be disciplined and not join in.

Trump isn’t going to resign.

I'd be interested to hear more of the behind the scenes, because JD was the face of the MOU with Kushner and Whitkoff
Rubio somehow stayed far away and was never tied to it, smart on his part.

Problem for Vance and Desantis is that i abhor politically expedient schmucks.
Hopefully Rubio runs.

Rubio is the same as them and if they don’t play the game the Trump 2.0 breaking every promise is going to bring Rubio down.

I’ve read that Vance was not allowed in the room when they (Bibi at the head of the table, Trump, Susie Wiles, Hegseth, etc) discussed this and its plan.
