I notice he’s extending for two years. This will prevent the dems from using it as a wedge right before midterms, but still doesn’t fix the problem. He would be better off doing what was right, and letting the midterms go as they will. It would be a shame to have caved and lose the midterms anyway. I’m afraid that’s what will happen.

Feels like a lot of people in this thread missed this part. The problem with ACA was too many people were "eligible" for it. I believe he is going to come out with something saying only a certain % over poverty are eligible and everyone else can go find a plan in the marketplace

What is the point of “winning” if nothing ever changes?

Dems make a huge win in the midterms and effectively handicap Trump for the rest of his term, the country is finished.
It's amazing, isn't it? I don't agree with the subsidies, but people on this board have complained nonstop for the past 2 weeks that Trump has already lost the midterms.
Now, they are complaining because Trump wants to do something that will help in the midterms.
If you bitch about Trump losing a future election, then you shouldn't bitch when he does something to reduce that chance. The dumbest part is that when these conservatives refuse to vote in the midterms, they will blame Trump for their own inaction.

You do not think they won’t find something else to prolong a shutdown and blame Republicans for?

Immigration eligibility for Medicaid or the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) = “Qualified noncitizens” (QNCs) who have met the five-year waiting period (if applicable).
? Many QNCs have an immigration status that requires a five-year waiting period before they are eligible for Medicaid and CHIP coverage
Georgia advertised sCHIP in ATL in Spanish on MARTA. Why? Because the anchor baby was a citizen, and once a minor qualifies for a type of welfare benefit, the parents, citizens or not, get looped into many of the benefits because they're the sole caretaker of the child citizen.

For the show, were you not just a little entertained?

The problem is after 5 years in office, he has no viable replacement. You cant end it without a viable alternative.

Here's the problem, they get extended 2 years to help with the mid terms. Let's say it works and repubs hold on to the majority. Guess what they'll extend them again for fear of the next POTUS election...over and over..l.

That would not be a problem if in those two years the GOP figured out how to fix this issue.

True
Which is why you have to have a replacement before you end it.

Pre emp the issue for the midterms, smart

IF true, that would be a huge disappointment.

Trump kicking the can down the road. Going on almost ten years now without any plan for a better alternative to Obamacare.
They've fricked this up so bad you have to wonder if anyone really has an idea for a better plan? It may could have somewhat worked if the country wasnt over ran with illegals and dead beats that believe they are entitled to low cost or free health care coverage. Companies shouldn't have been allowed to just drop their plans all together when Obummer care rolled out. I'm thankful that my company has continued to carry health care coverage. It increases yearly but I don't have to look for carriers or pay outrageous copays.
