I heard it on the radio while he did it. If I remember correctly after he thanked him Acosta said "I did not see an invasion" and Trump said "that's because there was a wall there."

Ole Jim was in quite the conundrum. He could a) Say the community was safe thereby giving legitimacy to the effectiveness of a wall. or b) Talk about how dangerous the bordertown was which would further highlight the necessity for increased border security and the dangers of open borders.
He chose a) but considering how ate up with TDS they are at CNN, just watch them backpedal and end up going with b) as well.
