Rather than considering Project Warp Speed in isolation, I suspect you're conflating a lot of Covid-related crap to come to your conclusion. Much of which did not have to do with Trump at all.

What specifically do you consider false regarding Trump's characterization of Project Warp Speed?

Pushing a woefully untested vaccine, and allowing people like Fauci to make terrible decisions for our country were definitely his greatest mistakes as president, thus far. I've supported virtually all other political positions he's taken, but I was against all of that as it was happening, not just after. I was very disappointed by it.

I think he would do well to own up to that mistake, instead of wearing it as a badge of honor.

Fauci was not a part of PWS.

A lot of MFers are conflating Warp Speed with specific COVID 19 vaccine efficacy. They are not the same.

I never wanted this shot and was forced to get it or lose my job.

Biden did that part.

Where did I say, or imply that he was? I mentioned two things that Trump made mistakes on, and Fauci was one of them. Unless I had specifically made a connection between Fauci and "PWS", I don't know why anyone would jump to that conclusion.

The entire handling of Covid was horrendous, and it started with allowing Fauci to lead the nation's response based on erroneous "science". From social distancing, to wearing masks that don't work against a virus, to calling for lockdowns... All of this happened as the man I voted for just let it happen with no push back. And then came the vaccine disaster, which somehow he still thinks was a victory.

So yeah, I've been in Trump's corner for a decade now, but I'm more than a little tired of him taking victory laps over what in my opinion has been his biggest failure in office.

You are responding to a "Trump still believes Project Warp Speed one of the his greatest accomplishments" thread, as am I. If you were doing otherwise, so be it.

There was plenty of pushback, especially by summer of 2020. Trump was dealt a terrible hand from the outset of the pandemic. One could argue with plenty of basis he was a patsy at the poker table. As I've said, the CDC's errors early on were so egregious that they may have been deliberate. There was a tremendous amount of deep state nefarious shite afloat.

But PWS was Trump's effort at turning the equation. In the end, and because of things you are correctly critiquing, it was too little, too late. But PWS was a significant accomplishment in terms of scientific mobilization.

If you are down voting this because you agreed with Trump on warp speed or the bump stock band, you are an unpatriotic idiot.

There are a lot of unpatriotic "patriots" who post here.

The entire Covid response was horrendous, including the provisions of the Covid relief bill that expanded remote voting and encouraged people to quit work and live off the government.

Since the inception of government agencies that oversee the safe development and eventual distribution of pharmaceutical products/treatments, has there ever been something (not even close to being a vaccine) that was so quickly mass-produced without normal trial protocols that has caused so many injuries, chronic conditions, and deaths with such little efficacy?

To say that the genesis of this was not Operation Warp Speed is being disingenuous. To see that these jabs are still being pushed is sickening. The fact that big pharma reaped all the profits without any liability is pure evil. Also, frick all you branch-Covidians that touted this shite and then vehemently attacked those crazy ideas such as treatment plans and herd immunity.

It saved us from being locked down longer. That probably saved some lives.

I'm not saying I support the vax at all though. I feel they took advantage of Trump trying to solve a problem.

Adding to the irony: much of Trump’s MAGA base recognized early on that these junk vaccines were at best useless, if not detrimental.
