Yeah, that's right. In WWII, the government didn’t just hand General Motors a blank check and say "good luck with the tanks." (at least not until the defense-industrial complex got out of hand down the road). They had a war production board, converted factories, guaranteed cost-plus contracts, but the blueprints and production lines stayed under government control. A pandemic version of that might have had the government fund the science, guaranteed a fair profit, but the formulas and know-how become part of a global arsenal against the virus.

The corporations (Pfizer & ModeRNA) - nobody else could make cheaper versions during the pandemic (not just b/c of the IP, but also they had proprietary practical manufacturing know-how that the government doesn't have). That monopoly sent their profits and stock prices through the roof (Moderna went from a small biotech to a $100+ billion company almost overnight). Shareholders & execs cashed in big, while we had already taken on most of the risk by funding most of the science already. At first we didn’t notice the cost because governments bought doses in bulk and gave them out free, but now the price/shot is about $110-130, the tldr is pharma kept the patents, investors got rich, and the public pays in higher insurance, taxes, and got slower global access.

I just don’t agree with spending our hard earned capital on something that isn’t universally going to help Americans
Admittedly, I agree with the initial rollout for the people that could benefit from it.
I will spend good coin for those folks. If we can’t take care of our elders then we can’t expect care when we are elder. But I doubt the shot was needed for me and I had to get it. I don’t think it really did much at all because I still got Covid anyway (albeit prolly not as bad as I would have without prior immuno response). I’ve been on the spectrum since before this. Stupid waste of our money tho mostly i think

Yeah, I agree and you’re right about the WWII comparison. Back then, Uncle Sam kept control over the blueprints, standardized designs, and spread them across factories. That’s why Liberty ships and Sherman tanks got cranked out like Model T's. With covid, the public felt something was off (not wrong), but instead of zeroing in on the political economy (how Warp Speed handed the keys to private pharma), a lot of folks retrofitted their suspicion into “the tech must be unsafe”. In reality, the mrna science was solid. It was the business model (patents locked up, monopoly profits, rent-seeking) that deserved the side-eye. So the instinct to distrust was right, but the target got flipped.

It can feel wasteful at the individual level in your in a low risk group, but it’s really buying insurance for society as a whole. We honestly got lucky this time that middle-aged people like us weren’t among the worst hit. In 1918, the Spanish flu wiped out huge numbers of young adults, and if avian flu ever jumps human-to-human it could be any demographic in the bullseye. G'night.

I know of some at risk people that took it and they died within 2 days.Had no symptoms of being sick,was give to them as a preventative.

It was a unprecedented, amazing accomplishment done @ historic speed. But how ignorant, or TDS infected, would one have to be to think Trump had anything to do with the actual Vaccine itself?!!
Trump is not a Virologist, Pharmaceutical Engineer/Inventor, Medical Scientist. Fauci & Deborah Birks were already in their appointed positions, roles when the contrived, sudden, fake pandemic was thrust upon him. It was Fauci, Birks & others @ the CDC, FDA who's very job and authority dictated (legally & of course due to their "expertise") that Trump had to suddenly accept, listen & follow their Medical/Health advice.
The entire Covid Pandemic was a Global (Globalist) Farce. Everyone, including Trump, was in the dark, under the fear of Death with an impossibly complicated "Novel" global virus. With 24/7 MSM images of Chinese subjects spazzing out on the street (all fake) and Medical Experts, Scientists, Governments pumping out wildly false, incorrect/inaccurate data, deaths/hospitalizations, etc. The REAL Medical experts (who now have all been proven correct).....quickly realized, questioned how deathly wrong the advice, protocols, treatments those in authority lawfully forced upon everyone!
Trump, through his leadership, pulled & pushed the experts, who were already in their highly specialized medical roles/fields + positions; including the leading Industrial, Manufacturing concerns to GET TO WORK in order to Save American Lives!
Trump was surrounded by the most vile, evil, greed infested medical/big pharma "experts" who DID NOT RELY ON SCIENCE & INTENTIONALLY LIED, MISLED HIM & THE PUBLIC WORLDWIDE!

It is highly indicative & telling that I have yet to see, meet ANYONE who DID NOT willingly line up to be inoculated/boosted BLAME TRUMP for anything related to Covid!
It was a massive, military grade Psy Op intentionally deployed, used to Hypnotize, Brainwash the masses. It is utterly astounding that despite the vast amount of data, research, info that was widely available within 30 days of the fake pandemic, along mere/simple common sense to research & question the glaringly obvious, intense "push/onslaught".......millions simply blindly trusted.
It is an incredible testament, proof & reality of the establishment's ability, effectiveness to deploy a mass phychosis operation. Now that all accurate data, science has been irrefutably released worldwide, which the "censored, cancelled, fired" bona fide scientific experts who fought so bravely to release/warn; including the "conspiracy theorists" who once again were proven correct........
