If Trump ends it with that regime still in power it will have been a failure and will absolutely hurt us in the long run.

Should have done it a lot sooner. And idk how many years. 8 months after we supposedly crippled their nuclear program we are right back over there. People like to talk about regime change and stuff, but this whole thing started again because they were starting up their nuclear program again.

So after 49 years, including decades of nuclear development known to the world, including 2 Dem admins in the last 15 years supporting and encouraging their development of their nuclear programs

This admin went in 8 months ago and crippled their nuclear programs under information they were weeks from having a working weapon

We continued talks with them and were informed that had enough material stored from the decades long program, even after the immediate crippling, to EVENTUALLY build 11 weapons and that we could go frick our selves diplomatically that they weren’t giving anything up that way we would have to take it militarily

We continued talks to negotiate for a few more months only to conclude that the worlds biggest sponsor of terror who was the material and is hell bent on creating a weapon isn’t negotiating in any plausible manner, while re starting work

And go in to take them out.

And you see this not as a continuation of the same set of circumstances…….

You were ok with doing nothing for 49 years but when we didn’t get the job done in one bombing run over 4 hours you’re frustrated because we are “back over there 8 months later.

Why do I have the feeling if we would have wiped out their navy and leadership 8 months ago you would have been bitching about mission overreach.

We didn't have the golden opportunity that the Russian invasion of 2022 presented us a lot sooner
What do you mean?

I only ask because I’ve been thinkin and was leaning towards “well shite, it kind of was a good opportunity to do this IF it was to be done.” Seeing as Russia is busy and we just did Venezuela(I have no idea what their military capabilities are) and hit Iran so hard so quickly.

The China/Russia/Iran/Venezuela team, 2 days into this recent bombing, didn’t seem all that well positioned to do a whole lot unless China decided they should go HAM.

Was the timing of all of this pretty well planned?

No, this (meaning our direct involvement) all started when Donald — or maybe an un-chaperoned "staffer" — went on social media and made that stupid post about us saving the Iranian people, drawing a red line by demanding that the regime not start killing protesters.

At that point we had been told that their nuclear capability had been completely and utterly destroyed and was set back "years". The renewed focus on nuclear came when the mission needed to sold to the people.

You're a liar. When we bombed Iran several months ago you were one of the idiots who claimed we would have boots on the ground and be locked into an ongoing war.

Obtw, you still haven't given Trump credit for closing down the southern border, you 2-bit phony.

Plus if we don’t get a global recession out of it it’s a failure

But I see the talking points memo is now shifting back to regime change.

From a geopolitical perspective it basically hands the bulk of international influence of Iran over to China & Russia

Link?

I said if we didn't have boots on the ground it would not fix anything long term and we would be back.

Are we back fighting Iran? Yes

I was right (again)
