seems like a second term item.

If he truly would have attempted this in his first term, I may have voted for him this year.
Even with his protectionism trade, progressive budgets, and other progressive policies that have been his standard while in office.

Hell no! Dont give an inch. Drugs are bad for the brain. If you absolutely need em get a Dr. To prescribe it to you. I dont want my kids growing up in a society that is filled with narcotics and marijuana. Drugs stunt physical and mental maturity. A drug free you will be better than a under the influence you 99% of the time. Society as a whole will not come close to reaching its potential with drugs legalized.

The threat of going to jail hasn't curtailed drug use very much through the decades.

The average sentence served is between 18 months and 3 years - that’s nothing, and if it’s the first time for possession - it’s usually less than that

Plus the idiots get out, and start all over again.

Drug traffickers (like small time pushers) only get 3-5 years on average - where’s the threat when you can basically still run your business from jail, get out and pick up where you left off

On private highways? Sure. On public roads? Depends on the road.

Should people be allowed to drive with blood alcohol levels of 1.5 as long as they follow traffic rules?
I would say no.

Should people have to follow traffic rules?...... aren’t those all restrictions on personal freedom?
Yes and no.

Start legalizing everything and you become closer to a third world country.
Drugs are often most illegal in the most authoritarian, shitty, 3rd world countries. I think you have it backward.

The small city I live in has over a dozen "Drug Stores". I think they sell "Medicine" though. We also have 7 banks.

Three grocery stores and 2 hardware/lumber.

There is a point in this comment, somewhere.

We should legalize weed and outlaw sugar, if it’s about making us all healthier.

I'd say we're talking about legalizing the injection of any recreational drug into self...at least 18...

Normal protocol of prescribed drugs.

Weed - I don’t care

Simple possession of hard drugs - I can live with those being knocked down to misdemeanors.

Trafficking amounts - I still think major distributors need to be handled as felons.

Anabolic steroids should be legal, certainly not schedule III. They are not intoxicating and completely affect the user only.

That's why the Egyptians, Greeks, and Romans never reached their potential. They didn't have drug laws.

The earliest drug laws were enacted by islamists. That's a good model to follow. They've contributed so much to the world.

Marijuana is legal in Guatemala (which in parts is terribly 3rd world). Cocaine is produced there in large amounts, the government knows this and does nothing about it. Even though cocaine is illegal.

As of most of Africa, marijuana is illegal, but most of the time it's not enforced, especially if the farmers give the government a share. Many farmers in some of the countries prefer to grow marijuana because it makes more money than food.

Yes, he should.

He should go a step further, end all victimless crimes. Also, make it so the state is not the victim ever!!!
