He should just go ahead and post, “Let them sell their crypto bribes and buy cake to eat with it.”

He seriously gives no fricks about the common man. Must be nice to be born a NY millionaire and live on an estate.

Holy f*ck. He really does believe we have to pay back trade “deficits”. Incredible.

He’s not wrong about this.
He is 180° wrong about it. Every dollar we spend on imports we get a massive discount on because the dollar is strong. It’s other countries that are subsidizing us. If we had to buy TVs, appliances, at par… they’d be unaffordable like they weren’t he 1970s.

How tf has this become the strawman every time someone criticizes Trump? There is a fricking gulf of options between “Trump isn’t doing a good job” and “I’m voting Dem”.

I would say Trump is doing the best he can with Democrats and Republicans fighting him.

And inflation was worse under Biden so he is still doing good on that front. Not great, but good.

But some folks don't want to be honest.

We have a Clinton Dem in the White House right now. The problem is that Trump and Congress aren't willing to work with each other.

He'd have to move pretty far to the right to get there at this point.

Trump keeps attacking his allies in Congress. Not sure what anyone would expect success with that “strategy”.

And shite on all this around here lately this we're trying to make America great. We're about to project some energy independence, secure borders, superior law enforcement, military, and domestic wealth into the 2030's. That's the tune I'm still playing.

I think trump knows that a 1% rate would only add fuel to a pretty hot inflation picture but he wants to pressure the Fed.

I’m happy to see some independence from this Warsh though. It’s a tough job made a lot tougher by Trump who will do all he can to humiliate the guy.

If Trump wants lower prices which will lead to lower rates, cut the tariffs, and find a way to get control of oil prices.

How is 2.4% unacceptable?

You seem to be mixing different inflation measures which makes it seem like inflation isn’t much higher than the 2% target. The Fed target is based on the PCE which is running at 3.3% (core). The last month wasn’t bad at 0.2% (Is that where you’re getting the 2.4%?)

Oh please. We don't need any more artificial interest rates.

In case he didn't notice, inflation is still a thing .
