Lol bro you were just giving a lecture on the nature of “opinions” only a few posts above. To expand on your previous work, I would only add that other people might share their own opinions, and they may even be in opposition to yours. Which no worries, that’s natural and it’s ok.

I believe you are right about this, but even with the cheating Trump was trounced in the popular vote

2 Things:

1- Those 2 statements are at odds with eachother.

2- There is NO such thing as a popular vote in the United States of America.... mr Maxist man. There is a reason for that.

Read what I said again. I am saying it is good to have this discourse. I stated an opinion of mine that Trump will draw every democrat out to vote against him. I believe if the Republicans find another option it is on their best interest because they will win in a landslide.

I’m definitely in the “move on from Trump, Desantis 2024” camp but it’s hard to imagine Biden or Kamala beating anyone the republicans run after the last year. It would require some fundamental geopolitical shift for either to win.

If the democrats win in 2024, it will be because they run someone else.

Trump running for President is a mistake. He is not our best option. He is also old. Joe Biden is not popular. And he is ancient. People voted for him because he is “not Trump.” I don’t expect his popularity to increase. I’d go with Desantis or something along those lines. Someone who has been steady over the past few years. Avoid Trump, avoid his inner circle. If they go fresh they may be able to pull votes

I voted for trump twice but cmon guys hes old. That speech tonight is the same speech he gives everytime and its just flat. There has to be better options than two 80 yr old guys.

Naw, no re-read necessary. I think I had it right the first time. You were pointing out that you were merely expressing your opinion. Which is all good, except you then became mildly triggered, as you mentioned earlier, and were a little aghast at the thought of anyone promoting Trump for 2024, i.e. a differing opinion.

All that to say……nothing, really. Maybe that we simply have a difference of opinion on the matter. But I still think I’m definitely right though.

I personally believe he’s the best candidate but honestly, I’m sick of what comes with it. Maybe the Republicans can get a Puppet like Biden and let Trump run the reigns…

They would have to knock Trump out, and I don’t see it happening.

Not because I necessarily think Trump is more skilled or qualified. But he has rabid disciples.

Would I take him over Biden? Yes. Terrific candidate? Not by a long shot.

He is inarticulate, insecure, and unstable. The plant baw messiah.

Trump was a pretty massive outlier in the story of Republicans becoming increasingly irrelevant in national elections. A combination of Democrat apathy over Hillary and populist Trump running on the Republican ticket led to Trump winning, yet he still didn't win the popular vote. No Republican has won the popular vote since in almost 20 years.

Nevertheless, Trump put the fear of God in Democrat voters after 2016. The Democrats could nominate a doormat (they pretty much did in 2020), yet at least for the next few election cycles, it really doesn't matter who the Republicans nominate as Democrats will show up in droves to vote. Simple fact is Democrat voters outnumber Republican voters.

Yeah, but it's close in the swing states. Rs need to work a little harder to register and get out the vote. That was something Trump did not do in 2020. He needed a greater effort there.

It's far more likely that the Republicans fade into obscurity.

The Bernie Sanders wing of the Democratic party will split, forming their own party.

Ex-Republican establishment will join the new Democratic party.

Far right populists will take over what is left of the Republican party, forming something new.

No he didn’t win the popular vote, but did very, very well playing the game according to the understood rules in place. And put on a clinic on how to maximize your potential. Only to win the Presidency of the U.S. He clearly had and still has a nice array of those same kinda skills to apply to the other high level stuff. If they’d just let the man do his work. Which I’m fairly certain will end up happening again.

I mean the man woke up one day and said I wanna try this whole American Presidency thing out, and he damn sure crossed that one of the list. He’s more talented and equipped to win than most WANT to give him credit for.
