They can't control the narrative from TikTok. They lost a lot of control of Twitter and do not have control of TikTok. They sill have Facebook and Instagram (Meta) and Google.

Its so unreal.
Like a month ago they were all in in forcing CCP to divest TikTok. So was Trump.
Trump meets with the largest American Investor in TikTok, gets a donation, changes his stance...
And then they all march in unison. Unreal stuff

I think the argument that Tik Tok may not be as beholden to the US government as other SM entities is an interesting one, although with some pretty obvious flaws (for example, that a CCP owned entity is unlikely to provide any beneficial "uncontrolled" content to the populace)
I just think it's weird that this argument is suddenly in the forefront now that Trump flipped on it.
