Putting politics ahead of helping the nation's infrastructure.
You mean like the Rs did under obama?

I suppose you support such a BS move?
Nah, I don't care what they do TBH. It is the smart political move though.

no he didn't. He doubled down on stupid, but he barely made a case for it. And didn't wheel and deal on it, he made threats!
Uhh Trump resurrected the House bill to get it to the Senate and Trump has been pounding HC in his tweets for last 3 weeks. Policy wise, I can agree the man knows less than zero about HC.

The loss of Mooch is devasting for reasons I can't go into. He was going to run next generation media strategy. No way to spin, this is bad.
Colbert and the rest of the late night hosts agree.

He didn't "lose" on healthcare, he never had a chance to win. No legislation ever even made it to his desk. He's fighting senate republicans and democrats, he won't get anything done outside of EO's with that being the case.
Wait, so you agree he isn't winning?

This is bull shite. We needed someone like Mooch to fight the media. I thought we finally got rid of the establishment clowns in the White House. Only to be replaced by another establishment clown.
Mooch didn't seem to think that through if be truly cared about fighting the establishment. Of course, his resume is like embodiment of the "swamp" so I doubt he cared much about that.

Infrastructure, at least in theory, could be doable because there'd be at least a few dems willing to vote for it.
Trump's first huge blunder was not pushing for a big infrastructure deal that he could have gotten some bipartisan support for. Get one big win under the belt.
Now he's gone scorched earth on everyone to the point that he's not gonna get any Democrat votes for anything and his approval is so far in the toilet that he can't strong arm his own party anymore.

Does a dem senator in north Dakota or a industrial state want to be known as someone who voted against infrastructure?
Infrastructure is one of those feel-good policies that have like 85% approval.

i get what you're saying, but can the DEMs really risk ignoring a softball like that?
Oh absolutely. They won't be against it b.c it is trump, in the PR. They will find something wrong with it.
And frankly they might not even need to do this, as do you think Ryan or Mcconnell will bring this to a vote? They had a hard time with getting a vote on HC, and they ran on it.

If you want to clean shite up, hire a four star marine general from Boston

We're talking about Trump supporters here. All that matters is that the Democrats are mad.
Don't pass tax cuts and watch what happens. I almost don't want them to pass tax cuts just because I want to see the melt.

Well you could see a few cross party lines, but not enough to make up for the defections from conservatives.

there is 0 support from the DEMs to tinker with the ACA for ideological and political reasons
that argument does not exist with infrastructure funding
tax reform? similar to the ACA
but infrastructure? maaaaaaaaaaan. just think about all the money that takes away from the working class/unions nationally

What's the point of voting? Listen voter intensity will not be on the GOP in 2018 especially if there is nothing to vote for. Independents never show up significantly in midterms. Jesus Trump might be at 30% come 2018.

Sure.
But
a) what is the proposal?
b) will it make it through the gatekeepers in ryan/mcconnell?
I guess we will see. I sorta think it is DOA without a proposal. Republicans aren't going to want to dump a big spending bill out there before an election. But frick, I am often wrong.
