Still dumb, just like when he attacked Joe Rogan
Like most people, I had forgotten about that. A week from now, no one will remember this either. All the worrying and fretting over this statement will have been wasted energy.
How many times does Trump need to say something outrageous, people proclaim it will be his downfall, only for it to have no impact or the complete opposite effect, like with the Haitians, before people start to accept that maybe Trump understands the public better than most? In 2016, people said Trump was unpresidential. He ended up winning larger than any republican since Reagan. It looks like Trump knew exactly what the people wanted to hear.
Trump is one of the only politicians working for the American people, and yet, he is the only one critiqued to such inane depths by conservatives. We have Republicans helping democrats all over the country, but you people prefer to focus on Trump's dumb one liner. Hopefully one day people will get their priorities straightened out.

But women shouldn’t vote because they’re too emotional.

Be that as it may... now nobody is talking about Haitian's eating cats... an actual thing that was happening and that people were rightfully outraged about.

Do you retards actually believe her fans would ever vote for Trump? That is if they actually get out of their parents basement to go vote?
Stop crying about every fricking thing Trump does you soft bitch.

Who gives a shite? A majority of people on this website also hate Taylor Swift.
Unfortunately for Trump the majority of voters are not on this website and while you may think it is trivial and that Swift is a moron Trump is still making his own life harder for no reason whatsoever. It comes across as petty and quite honestly beneath him considering the office he’s running for. Let the surrogates go after her if his ego can’t handle it. He needs to focus on the big picture and that’s it.

No my man, what’s pathetic is being like a Prog and acting like the party or candidate you support can do no wrong or going into simpleton attack mode at anyone who dares question a stupid move. These people are supposed to be working for us, not us working for them. There’s much bigger fish to fry out there than making sure everyone knows you hate Taylor Swift.
I hate to break it to you, but your TDS has reached terminal levels. There’s no cure, but don’t worry—you’ll still have plenty of opportunities to rant about tweets from your hospital bed.
I’ll be enjoying my improved life under the Trump administration.

Good summary of the purpose behind the mean girl's latest entry in her Burn Book:

I would rather Trump stop with the "mean tweets" and actually keep the focus on the economy, border, national security and keep driving this message home and acting Presidential. What this does is take the focus away from that and sucks up the news cycle. It actually gives Taylor Swift and her dumb, misinformed opinion more life. Now everyone will be talking about this and what a petulant man child he can be and not the leader of the free world.
The idea that Trump should stop expressing his dislike for people like Taylor Swift assumes that catering to the feelings of his critics would somehow benefit him. But that's not how Trump operates, and it's precisely why his base loves him. He’s not interested in appeasing celebrities or their fans, especially when figures like Swift have made themselves part of the political conversation by throwing their weight around on controversial issues. Trump pushing back, even harshly, is consistent with his refusal to let elites dictate the terms of debate.
It’s easy to argue that this triggers the news cycle or detracts from more important issues, but in reality, it keeps the spotlight on Trump. When he calls out someone like Swift, who’s known for her far-left opinions, he’s doing two things: signaling to his base that he isn’t afraid of media darlings and drawing a clear contrast between himself and the celebrity class that tries to meddle in politics without any real skin in the game. By speaking his mind, Trump isn't losing focus on policy—he’s exposing the cultural divide that plays into the broader political battles over the economy, border security, and national security.
If this you’re triggered by Trump calling out Swift, that’s on you, not Trump. People who are upset by these moments tend to be the same ones who prefer politicians who stay quiet or play nice. But being presidential doesn’t mean being silent or soft. Trump doesn’t need to bend to the norms of those who hate him just to be taken seriously—he’s already proven that being unfiltered is part of what makes him effective. Let Swift have her opinions, but it’s not wrong for Trump to call her out if he disagrees. After all, if she’s going to enter the political arena, she should expect to be treated like anyone else.

Do you think the poster you're responding to gives a shite on a personal level what Trump thinks/says about Taylor Swift or that his objection is about Trump not being nice? Do you think Trump is exhibiting toughness by posting on social media?
My bet is that the poster's issue wasn't about Trump being mean or Taylor Swift's feelings. I'm pretty sure the criticism of Trump for posting about Taylor Swift is about it not being smart as far as getting elected goes. That Trump should be beating Kamala, the media and all of us over the head about the border, the economy, and what whackjob liberal Kamala Harris is and that posting about Taylor Swift can accomplish little more than crowding out that messaging.

She didn’t tell people to vote for Kamala. She only said she was, and that people should do their research and make up their own minds.
