I think that's the purpose of having no co-defendants (some of whom he presumably could have charged as well). There's not all the classification issues that are in the documents case and the testimony is all there. Trump's attorneys will be arguing that they need more time (say Nov. 10) to review all the discovery, but I don't know how them doing FoxNews hits in the interim is going to land with this judge. I think the government will ask for it to happen shortly after New Years and Alvin Bragg has said he's willing to defer to the Feds if they need to go first (that one's scheduled for March).

Two things can be true at the same time:
1) Much of this is political.
2) If Trump had an ounce of common sense and discipline, none of this would be happening.
But bragging about his secret docs and telling officials to find imaginary votes and not to certify the election and we have what we have.

I tend to agree. Legally this looks like much ado about nothing, he blusters all the time, and even if I thought it meant something besides giving the base a chubby he didn’t mean he was going to hire a leg breaker.
But legalities aside shite like this just increases the “not Trump” vote.
