There are a lot of medicinal uses for marijuana. Either way if you read the government definition of a schedule I vs a schedule III drug it is very clear it should have never been a schedule I and the appropriate action was to at least move it to a schedule III.

No. There aren’t.

Objective fact not hyperbole, alcohol causes hundreds of thousands of deaths annually in the U.S.

Well, like I said. My wife had seizures her whole life and she didn't stop having them until she was put on medical marijuana. We have discussed with our doctor the different medical applications for marijuana and have seen first hand proof that it actually works for seizures. So are you a doctor or someone who has used medical marijuana for an ailment or just another uneducated shite talker on the internet?

Agreed, but that is not the track record of what the gubment does. The gubment creates problems and then taxes me more to solve the problems their policy created.

Not blaming anything. Neither alcohol, weed nor other recreational drugs help people make better decisions. It's the bad decisions that cause the gubment to raise my taxes.

Are you maintaining there aren't "a lot", or there aren't medicinal uses for it at all?

If the former, what constitutes "a lot" in your mind?

The most harmful, addictive, substance Americans consume is not pot or alcohol, it’s sugar. Yet none of these “it’s bad for you” or “it hurts the everyone because of illness” folks want to make it illegal. Why is that?

It’s a brave new world. Marijuana is trying to catch up.

So you're saying there are no medicinal uses for marijuana then correct?

Just so we're clear.

No. There’s a couple of very limited uses for it that are very patient-specific and do not seem to extend across the broader population.

There’s some usage of it for increased appetite. It’s unclear what benefit it offers versus other medicinal appetite drugs.

There’s some very limited (read in limited patient populations) usage in seizure treatment.

After that, it gets very sketchy despite what the third eye is trying to tell people.

Baby steps. Things of this nature have to be handled slowly, It's a huge change for some people. It will get there eventually as more people trust it.

Yeah…having weed and the smell of weed everywhere has been awesome when visiting major cities. Definitely making America great! Top priority!

Why are you gay? I’d rather deal with weed smell over drunken fools.

Last time I was in New Orleans for a convention I got so tired of trying to walk down the street with all the street thugs walking around and blowing smoke in your face for reaction. Some people have jobs that drug test. I went back to the hotel and haven't been to that trash can of a city since.

So can you dispense of the bullshite now, and stop pretending pot isn't harmful?

Uh, no.

Alcohol-related deaths significantly exceed those associated with marijuana, with studies indicating that alcohol is substantially more dangerous in terms of mortality, toxicity, and overall health harm. While the CDC estimates nearly 88,000 to 95,000+ alcohol-related deaths annually in the U.S. (including overdoses and alcohol-induced causes), there are zero documented fatal overdose deaths from marijuana use alone.

Ah yes, the tragic spoilage of our once-pristine urban air. We really need to step in now and protect these fragile, endangered piss and exhaust-scented ecosystems before they’re gone forever.
