Tell that to people on fixed income.
Sure…why not? Are inflation rates today lower than the 50 year average? Yes or no?
I’d be happy to give them the good news.
Do you think retired people are not smart enough to have their retirement investments outpace the below average inflation rates?

Inflation is at 2.4% yet this board implodes over it

I think people shouldn't have the need to offset the wealth stolen by inflation in the first place. Nor do I make excuses for it.
Inflation is compounding.
Just because inflation drops it doesn't mean the previous damage wasn't done. It's still just adding to it.
It's like you gained 20 lbs last year, but then you only gained 5 lbs this year then claiming the amount of inflation you experienced was well below average. You still gained 25lbs over the past 5 years.

I’m glad he’s President instead of Potato Biden or Harris, but hopefully the conservative/Republican base in 2028 nominates someone who doesn’t have the swing emotions of a 16 year old girl.
I want vance, but he has to be better than trump at running his mouth

Look at his meme below. There is a reason I used 50 years. Inflation is not rampant right now as many here try to make believe.

It's funny you say that because that meme was originally used against the left during the Biden years.

Not by me. It’s a dumb meme. To anyone that understands compound interest.

Yes it is Inflation is when the price of everything goes up, including factors of production. Labor is a factor of production.
No, inflation is an increase in the supply of currency - printing currency- without a parallel increase in the value backing it (gold, silver, oil).
^^^ is the same for Trump 2017-2021 and Biden 2021-2025 and Trump 2025-present.
Inflation isn’t “wow them eggs issa goin up bad an all”. Eggs going up is a result of inflation, and a lot of other factors.

You are merely talking about ways you can make more money while ignoring the wealth stolen.
You have Money/Inflation Illusion, a psychological bias in economics.

Bingo.
“Our stocks are up 25% over three years!!! Let’s get champagne!!!”
“They printed 6 Trillion over three years. There’s 24 Trillion in circulation. We can’t afford champagne”

Are we still printing money like PedoJoe and HeelsUp were? Thought we were shutting crap down through DOGE and Fraud investigations?
Dims put a stop to that.

Inflation by nature drives up wages, another economic genius

Wrong. If my portfolio outpaces inflation my purchasing power is greater.

To be fair you should support American sparking white. It's less costly too!

You are still making excuses and trying to name ways to recover from the theft of wealth.
And even then what you say really only applies if you aren't retired.
If you are retired you have to take money out to live on which destroys your principle. More inflation means you need more. And you keep citing "below average" while ignoring all the times when it's above average.
And of course you have to deal with good and bad times. It's not like you get a steady rate.
And good luck if the market crashes.

Wrong. I’m giving you the math. My purchasing power has increased under Trump. If you have any assets in the market so has yours.
Your definition of “theft of wealth” will never ever get to zero. You’re the one being unreasonable. Who was the last president that did not commit “theft of wealth?”

The amount of ignorance it takes to make this statement is amazing. You think the day someone retires they liquidate their portfolio and put it into a savings account? Good Lord.
