Trump wants real estate prices to go higher. He's a developer, its all he knows.
He even said he didnt want property prices to fall, he wants them to increase.

He said he doesn’t want homes to depreciate because Americans vast majority of their wealth is tied up in their home. The question is how do you increase the supply of housing without people losing their wealth? Housing supply and cost is mostly a state and local issue because of the cost of permitting and regulations.
