Dems overplaying a hand they just needed to sit on to win. It’s like clockwork.

Comically incompetent politicians. Will probably run Kamala again in 2028

Where’s DOGE to uncover this waste, fraud and abuse of taxpayer dollars? The DOJ is Trump’s personal law firm for when his feelings get hurt.

Where do you get the idea that the doj is filing the suit and the public is paying for it?

I could understand maybe if there was something “juicy” or scandalous that tied Trump to Epstein, but that letter was a huge nothing-burger.

Michelle Obama is not president, nor a politician.

I don’t even understand why the WSJ ran that story. Even if he wrote the birthday letter, who the hell cares?

It really is a very mild letter, even if it were true.

Now I don't know if this shite's legit or not, but I do know this letter makes both these dudes look like weirdo creeps, who watch porn and jack off together. That's not a very good

It's retarded/makes little sense and sounds completely made up. Guys like Trump don't talk in code. He says whatever the F comes to his mind...for better or worse.

Im not at all convinced the WSJ would take the enormous reputational, financial, and legal risk of publishing this letter unless they were confident their story would withstand scrutiny. Guess we’ll find out.

As for the “who cares?” piece, well POTUS for one. Cares a lot clearly. He’s handled this whole situation about as badly as he could have.

Yeah yeah yeah, he supposedly handles every situation “about as badly as he could have.” I ain’t putting any money on that actually being right this time. Maybe next time, we’ll see. Doubt it though.

What (realistically) would/could he have done that’d be worse???

He literally trotted out social media losers and handed them empty binders. Like truly unbelievably stupid. Tell me what he was thinking and why he thought that was a good idea.

I wouldn’t fight and claw over that statement, in this particular instance, ie it was stupid. And I’m pretty reserved in my criticism, so that’s relatively significant coming from me. I won’t fight you on that one. Heavily stupid even.

But does it warrant this level of hullabaloo? Definitely not, IMO.

If Trump had just kept his mouth shut this would’ve blown over ages ago (I think). It’s the doubling down/flip flopping that made this into THE story.

The irony is he’s gotten this far by being unfiltered and direct, etc. This is probably the one time that approach really backfired on him bigly.

Like even a jr PR firm would’ve handled this whole thing 1000x better.

I don’t think the Florida anti-SLAPP statute is going to apply here.

This is a diversity case, and, IIRC, the 11th Circuit doesn’t think these statutes are substantive.
