Trump is spot on, honestly. Trump calls a spade a spade. No sugar coating.
A lot of us like Massie because he speaks up for what needs to be done
Trump needs more support to get DOGE cuts
I will be super disappointed in Trump if he doesn't curb spending, like radically
Congress has to do that,
you can beat down the players who are willing to wote on cuts

What’s the amount this is estimated to add to the deficit?
What cuts to USAID are in it? Note I didn’t ask is USAID being eliminated?
Is Massie crazy for wanting better? I respect him for expecting more.

In the grand scheme of things, this isn't important to me.
It was important enough to the Administration to publish pictures of a bunch of lifetime tweeters holding binders. And…for me personally, it’s always important to root out child rapists. If we have those in our Federal Government, shine the light.

Didn't Trump say the same thing his first term?

The buck stops with _______?

I genuinely don't know what the right answer is.
On one hand, Massie and Rand are idealists who can and do make perfect the enemy of good. On the other hand, MAGA in particular has made frustration with compromise its entire brand, and now the purists that should be a check on this stuff are being told to do whatever Trump decides is good enough on a given day. I don't blame Trump for trying to make progress even if it won't be long lasting or meaningfully fix the big issues. But I don't blame Rand/Massey for thinking there should be stalwarts who have to be considered to get something done (likely with some moves in their direction).
I'm more annoyed by diehard Trump types who will turn on a dime on this stuff than I am Trump. Note that when Kash says we can't release such and such for some reason (a predictable political move reflecting the difference between campaigning and actually being in a seat of power) - he's not going to be given the same grace. Only Trump gets that, everyone else is held to their words.

What cuts that DOGE identified are in the bill?
Posted on 5/20/25 at 12:06 pm to roadGator
When the bill passes will all those that vote for it not be “true conservatives” ? Word is the freedom caucus is caving

Now I understand. Massey is mad that he’s considered a weirdo and his contrarianism is his way of getting back at the cool kids for not letting him sit with them at lunch.
Makes perfect sense from that lens.
Pretty much this. And the further he ostracizes himself, the louder he gets.
There are quiet workers and dealmakers in DC that do not lose their principles, work for their constituents, and are 100% MAGA. And you never hear from them.
Massie is not one of them.

Have not looked.

Cuts have been made at the executive.

Is Massie crazy for wanting better?
No. He's stupid for not taken a win in some cuts that leads to NO cuts and taxes being raised.
The new federal Budget will be presented by Trump when?
Take your win here to get some cuts and taxes kept lowered. What he is doing is nothing but helping the dems and hurting the US citizen.

According to your logic, they will be.
And what’s that got to do with my post you responded to?

Massie is a perfect representation of the try hard big L "libertarians" who post here. He will never accomplish anything because he doesn't understand you can't get everything you want all at once.
