The set-up failed, because nothing happened. But the Russians story has gone so bat-shite crazy and illogical, that in today's environment, just that fact that he took a 20 minute meeting with a person from Russia is discussed by frickING US SENATORS as treason.
So it got released as a bombshell, when it is actually nothing and will be out of the news in a week.

What? I find it hilarious this meeting was hidden from Feds. But why? You do realize Je stated it was about adoption first then changed the narrative. These are facts.

Actually, it does. They were 100% confident that Trump would lose. Why run the risk of having dirt on Hillary's connection to Russia brought up if it was not needed? Now they're just looking for stories to hinder Trump or distract from the positive affects his policies are having.

Jr tried to hide he was trying to get dirt on Hillary through Russians. Have read the email? Why was Manafort and Kushner there to if it wasn't so important? Think they showing up for an adoption discussion

Why would he hide it? There is nothing illegal, or even unethical about that.
He said the meeting was about adoptions because that's what it ended up being about. The Hillary dirt was a ruse.
If I go meet a guy to talk about buying a used car, and I get there and he has no car. But we talk for 20 minutes about his boat. If someone asks me what the meeting about, I'm saying the boat.

Meeting with Russians isn't a crime but stop acting like this administration and the campaign are not trying to hide the meetings/ contacts with Russians.
Kushner had at least 3 meetings with high level Russian official he left off his SF-86. 1) The sanctioned bank in Russia 2) The Russian Ambassador about backchannel 3) Jr meeting about possible dirt on Hillary
It's considered perjury not to disclose. So yea the coverup and lies can put you in jail.

Again...so what? What is it you're suggesting? Criminal charges be brought. Trump Jr. being impeached, etc?
