Less money on military exercises? Most people would agree.

I don't know. Seems like we could use the practice

Saw this comment on another board and it kind of sums up how I feel.
quote:

The US is up the creek because it is spending valuable energy and resources trying to disable both “friends and foes” with tariffs, sanctions and continuous wars, all in the name of security, rather than concentrating on the development of its own population and competitiveness.

I think he’s parodying the most ardent Trump loyalists.

I could give a shite what anyone believes. I’m friends with plenty of lifetime republicans, all of which voted for Trump….none support the mess he’s become. If his approval rating is even in the 20’s I’d be shocked. No one can dismiss the absolute disaster this Iran mess is and the absolute corruption which has been the entire second term.

As do I.

But do you support North Korea and Kim Jong Un? Because that's what Trump made it about. SK not supporting us against Iran is just a footnote at the bottom after he gives props to Jong Un and North Korea, who stand for the absolute antithesis of what we are fighting for both at home and abroad

I agree.Plus Iran should've done like Kim in the quote below.

North Korea blew up the entrances to its Punggye-ri Nuclear Test Site in May 2018. This was done to show a willingness to make peace before planned meetings with the United States.

Vance and Trump's Cabinet may or may not eventually have to make a tough decision…

Section 4 (Involuntary Transfer of Power): The vice president and a majority of the cabinet (or a body created by Congress) can declare in writing that the president is unable to govern. The vice president immediately takes over as acting president. If the president contests this, Congress decides the issue, requiring a two-thirds vote in both houses to keep the vice president in power.

Between the Iran mess and his bizarre statements and positions, its getting harder and harder to find the positives to defend and support Trump. I won't lie, the shine is wearing off quickly.

He's still better than anything the Democrats have to offer by far, but there's other Republicans that could be doing better right now

This was a good thing his first term.

quote:

During his first term, Donald Trump cancelled or scaled back several major joint military exercises with South Korea. He made this move to save money and to reduce tensions with North Korea following his 2018 summit with Kim Jong Un.
