NYT / Haberman have no credibility, but in this instance she is probably correct. Trump would have never spontaneously addressed the 'president musk' comments if it wasn't getting under his skin.

Look Elons cool and all, but I’m pretty certain he isn’t an easy person to get along with for long periods of time and or for days at a time with that Brain whipping around at all hours.
Trump also isn’t easy to get along with for long periods of time unless you are agreeing with everything he says.
They are the same people, just different ways about getting things done their way.
Bottom line is while this article is probably false at the moment, the idea they will never clash is just silly.

I just love how the media likes to spin any Republican palace intrigue as though it is a floundering sports team where any rumor is the gospel that is thrown out as fresh meat to lead to the firing of a coach or trading of a player.
