Yes, but this is a 'political board'. The word 'political' deals with 'policy.' We argue about policies. Food price jumps were MUCH higher under Carter. I didn't argue: 'Carter should DO something". I advocated for a variety of solutions in conversations with other intellectuals (I didn't hang around stupid people). One of them was 'Abolish the EPA, the water is clean now go out and find a real job instead of making up stupid regulations!'
So, what do you think Trump should do? Pull out? Let Iran control the water?

Again, the White House itself claims eight: Cambodia–Thailand, Kosovo–Serbia, Congo–Rwanda, Pakistan–India, Egypt–Ethiopia, Armenia–Azerbaijan, Israel–Iran and Gaza. Some involve legitimate diplomatic accomplishments; others weren't active wars in the first place or weren't actually resolved.

So even taking the White House's own generous count at face value gets you to eight, not eleven. Stopping or helping stop several conflicts is already something worth bragging about. Why does every legitimate accomplishment need another layer of padding?

164k joined in 2025, The military recruited more than 200,000 in 2000, more than 340,000 in 1987, and roughly 400,000 a year around 1980. So 2025 was nowhere near a record for the actual number of recruits. That's a legitimate accomplishment. It just isn't a record number of recruits.
