Generally, a 180 degree turn takes more than the first 100 days. Trump never had any real ideology or beliefs he just went with what got the biggest applause.

So you didn't read . . . . never mind . . . . . . in your case it's an unfortunate rhetorical question.

I think this is just an example of Trump not knowing what NATO actually did before he became POTUS.

Facts being unimportant, fictional concepts can be fun.

Presumably you are yet another who took no time to ACTUALLY READ THE OP LINK.

This is good. It's also good to know that you all just jump into threads without reading the links.

Trump said NATO needed revamped and Obama and HRC followed Trump's lead and said it needs brought up to speed of terrorism and the times. As well as, who ever isn't paying their dues can GTFO.

..... if Trump had a "(D)" after his name, this would be considered a GREAT WIN!@

But as there is no "(D)" after his name, it is regarded as a MSM conundrum.

There is a reason why old right conservatives like Robert Taft opposed NATO in the first place. The mutual defense provision of NATO usurps Congress's war powers.

The issue of whether or not NATO is obsolete should be irrelevant to constitutionalists. The United States has zero business being part of an entity whose central purpose (collective defense) is antithetical to the plain language of the Constitution.

He said that NATO was obsolete because the US was carrying all of the burden. If the other member nations are starting to pull their weight, then NATO is no longer obsolete.
The clearly, "obsolete" was the wrong word to use.

this isn't as their terms go on. this is pretty much the start.

The only thing that was remotely attractive to me about trump was his stances on staying out of foreign conflicts. I mentioned here i didn't believe him on it, and was shite upon by the trumpkins for not trusting him.

No, you have to keep up. Trump said they're no longer obsolete because they have begun to focus on terrorism.

I never had a problem with the concept of NATO and what it stands for.

I just had a problem with free loaders and welfare queens sucking up our money to pay for their defense when they could afford to.
