I don’t think he/she was saying the popular vote did matter. In fact, they said they believe Trump will win the election. They just quoted the accuracy of Trump winning 65% of the popular vote…if that’s what that figure meant. Probably stood for whatever polling group this is saying Trump will get 65% of the vote in Pennsylvania.

I don’t think he gets that either. I think he’ll win PN, but he’ll definitely be below 60% of the vote.

Not buying these “surges”.

The polls are correcting to save face come Election Day. You don’t wanna show Harris +2 and then Trump win by 7. You will lose your funding.

Polls lie in August and September. Correct in October little by little, then put out their real work late October and the lead up to the day in November.

Happens every year without fail. Polls are heavily skewed Dem then the republicans gain. Every single time.

A moral victory for them, maybe?

The polls said Hillary was a lock in 2016 as well. And I haven’t seen any reputable poll with a gap that big.

On this day in 2016 and 2020 the RCP popular vote average was:

2016 Clinton (+6.2)
2020 Biden (+7.5)

Harris is currently (+0.9) in that same average.

LINK

In 2016 Clinton won the popular vote by +2.1 (-4.1% off the 10.21.16 margin)
In 2020 Biden won the popular vote by +4.5 (-3.0% off the 10.21.16 margin)

If those trends hold it could be a Trump victory by anywhere from +2.0 - +4.0

fricking idiots

Since the 2000 election (where Gore won the popular vote) and especially after the 2016 election (where Clinton won the popular vote) you have constantly heard Democrats screaming that the EC should be abolished. No Republican candidate has won the popular vote since 1988 (Bush). So while you are correct in that the popular vote does not decide the race, a Republican win will (at least temporarily) throw water on the constant "abolish the EC" argument parroted by Democrats. It would also signify a right-shift in the nation because not only would the Republicans' have won the EC, he also would have received the most votes overall.

I’m assuming that’s giving him a 65% chance of winning Pennsylvania and not that he’s getting 65% of the vote.

I thought that would make more sense but it didn’t specifically say that. Can’t imagine any polls have him getting 65% of the popular vote.

It means more than half the country does not want this person as president and he’s gotten less and less popular each time. Does that mean he’ll lose? No, our archaic and outdated election system is designed so only a few states decide an entire election and his lying and manipulation works on those people with low IQs, of which I’m assuming you are included.

Yes, and the hive voting dynamic of large cities deciding every election is way better.

Just put a noose around your neck and end this game where you need to project fake intellectual superiority to feel better.

Georgia and North Carolina are dark RED. I believe he gets those easily. When Trump gets Pennsylvania called, it's over.

The question will be once a Trump administration returns, and he has the DOJ people in place, will the people who were active in 2020 happening then feel more comfortable to shed more light.

If you can't see how COVID was used to elect a dementia ridden candidate who didn't even campaign, then there is literally no hope for you. The math and statistics simply don't work for one candidate to magically start to over perform in vote counts.

Trump won in 2020 and people need to be held accountable.

Does this opinion change if Trump wins the popular vote?

You know...I defended you above, but this here is stupidity.

And flat out disingenuous. You don't think the Obama/Biden/Harris folks lie to and manipulate low IQ voters as well?

They lie in their anti-business and class warfare rhetoric all the damn time.

Do you have a spin prepared for when he “wins” the popular vote this time?

It could mean Kamala is a bad candidate. She never actually had to earn the nomination.

because people don't like to say they are voting trump....in 2016 and 2020.....but when they get in the booth, they pull the trump lever. Have you not paid attention. Polls are showing a dead heat nationally. That is BAD news for Harris because he ALWAYS outperforms.
