most of these things burn themselves out before a vaccine is made so research is given up on but that research is a starting point for Covid-19. We've never seen the effort being put in to a vaccine like we have with this one.
It seems impossible that we're delivering 300 million doses of a vaccine in 7 months. I think what you'll probably see is a promising vaccine developed within the next 6-8 months that has no known short term side effects. High risk folks will be given the option of taking it.

I'm a Trump supporter... But frick that vaccine and frick him for trying to mass distribute it.
That said, if this is something that will be not be mandatory, I'm cool with the mobilization to get it out to those that do want it quicker.

That's not what the Military is for. They're soldiers, sailors, and airmen, not hand holders for bed wetters.

Because the answer is we’re not.
He just gives out unfounded rosy predictions, and they don’t come true, and then they either a) ignore it, b) say that’s not what he meant, or c) excuse it as “just trying to be optimistic”
This is NO different than saying “we’ll be down to zero cases in a few days”
