Yes, they were valid military targets in that case. The reason for doing that was 100% military and 0% political.
The reason Trump is giving is 100% political and 0% military.
How did you arrive at these figures?

He pulled them out of his arse

Lol bridges used by military forces to advance on your position isn't a viable legal military target!
You truly are nuts
So now you want to add context. I guess that's progress.
The problem is - it's not being done for that reason. We don't have a position unless we put boots on the ground I'm unaware of.
If done for that purpose as part of an invasion or something, then it becomes a military target. Just blowing it up because Iran won't do something politically is once again NOT a military target.

It's literally in the tweet Trump put out in the OP.

So dropping railyards is bad too?

I said nothing of any specific bridges nor did you. I am responding to the OP and Trumps threats.
Was this your plan the entire time? Try to pigeon hole me into a one word response so you could then add context on a specific event to say I was wrong?
You trying out for the MSM or something?

The strait being closed due to terrorist threats of attacking civilian ships is a "political" issue?

He started with a TDS addled brain concluding OMB and then built everything from that premise.

Sheep are most comfortable in herds, so this checks out.

A sheep that knows what use of force authorization does
Let me ask another question.
Let's go with your illegal bridge bombing scenario.
The force commander in the CAOC directs me to expend munitions to take out said bridge.
First question am I legally exposed to sanctions?
Second question can I question his motives for hitting that target while in flight?

Do you think international traffic should be allowed off the coast of Florida without restriction and that if the US attacks anything out there it's an act of terrorism?
And if the UN claims it's international waters, do you expect the US to allow it?
I don't. I think we kind of have a right to waters near our shores. I wouldn't give a frick what the UN said.
So it kinda sucks that the geography is what it is. But enforcing their borders, especially while being attacked, isn't crazy and it should have been unexpected.
Besides, according to the people in these threads it's all "military targets" since it's oil/power related and can be used to fuel military units.

Governments make everything they do legal, so I'm not sure what your point is.
By definition what Trump is saying in his OP is not a military objective, it's a political objective. Go tell the FBI, the people in the dictionary and everyone else to change the definition if you don't like it.
