One person per 5 million whether it’s a person who pays or a company

That's not what is happening at all. A company like Apple will spend the money and buy the gold card. Then will import labor.
You think Apple is going to pay 5 million dollars per employee? You are a fricking idiot.

They won't which is why it won't work. Thanks for playing though with, as usual, your insightful comments. You are a big value add to this board.

It’ll just encourage people from India and China to import an entire work force from their countries to work a business in the US. It’ll be passed along to infinity And the U.S. will just turn into a China/India hybrid country.
You do realize the EB-5 program currently has far lower requirements, right?
quote:
The US EB-5 Visa Program
• Efficient route to gaining permanent resident status (green card by investment)
• Ability to include a spouse and children who are under 21 years old and not married
• Minimal application requirements, with no business experience or specific language proficiency needed
• Flexible physical presence requirements
• Citizenship possible after five years of legal residence
• Requirements of USA residence by investment
• The US EB-5 Immigrant Investor Program requires that a foreign individual invests into a new commercial enterprise that is associated with government-approved regional centers based on proposals for promoting economic growth.
The following requirements apply:
1. Fulfil one of the following investment options:
- USD 1,050,000 into a non-targeted employment area project
- USD 800,000 into a targeted employment area (rural or high unemployment)
2. Create or preserve 10 permanent full-time jobs for qualified USA workers
After the successful applicants have received a green card, the funds must stay invested for three to seven years depending on the project.
Approved applicants will receive conditional green cards for a period of two years. The conditions on the green card are then removed at the end of the two years upon demonstrating to USA immigration authorities that the jobs were in fact created or maintained. The transition from conditional to regular green card does not affect what the green card holder can do in the USA.

I actually listened to the cabinet meeting, which you obviously did not. Trump said 10,000,000, which he said would pay off our debt and leave us with 15 trillion in reserves.
Again, instead of calling people idiots, why don't you listen and think for yourself. Oh that's right, you aren't capable of it.

Deport 1 million illegals that cost 1 trillion in benefits and import in 200k for a 1 trillion in revenue.
Do 1 million out and 1 million in for the next 3 years and you are looking at essentially 1/2 of the federal debt. That is without the DOGE savings, increases in revenue from tarriffs or anything else.
If this is a standard 6-10 year path to citizenship, then on top of that you are adding in a tax revenue and a contingency to drop their green card depending on standard fitness/criminality/fraud declarations.
My only gripe would be that it needs to include no anchor babies and no tag along visas as well.

You moron. You think people that have 5 million to pay to get in need to go to work for Apple? You’re such a simpleton.

This is going to be for big tech companies who want to hire really smart people at very high level positions. Companies aren’t going pay that kind of money just to bring over Pajeet to code. He was throwing those numbers out as a red herring for media retards. I doubt they sell a million of those cards.

Again, with the personal attacks. You must really be insecure.
No they won't. But the question is, why would a person that has 5 million to throw away care to have a US visa? They won't.

They will be vetted sir. This will help with the fraudulent national debt. Pay closure attention before you post stupid shite

They don't need to, they just build bigger campuses in India and they work US hours. That's what they're already doing. Even EY is in on that game, not just CapGemini, Accenture, Unisys, etc. 90% of the BP jobs I get mailed every week are ... drumroll ... in India.

There's several other countries who do this, or a version:
Italy Golden Visa
Ireland Golden Visa
Hungary Golden Visa
Greece Golden Visa
And many others, it's not new.
I bet CNN, MSNBC and The View are having a field day with this.
It's Trump's gazillionair friends, he's kicking the poor out and selling us to the rich

quote:POTUS apparently plans to replace the current EB-5 program with his gold card plan at a $5M price tag. Recent EB-5 numbers are about 10,000/year. If he said 10,000,000, he either misspoke or was speaking hyperbolically.

He was very specific. He said 10,000,000 and actually corrected someone that said 1 million. He then talked about how it would erase the debt and leave a surplus.
