Article II, Section 3, Clause 3 also authorizes the president to adjourn Congress if the House and Senate cannot agree on the time of adjournment; no president has ever had to exercise this administrative power.[34][35]
As the Democrats have said. This is the worst crisis in American history.
Seems logical to use his powers in such trying times of less than average flu deaths.
Bury them with their hysteria

No you don't because it has never been done.
No President has ever used Article 2 Section 3 of the constitution to adjourn congress.

Trump should have done it and announce it only AFTER he had completed all of the recess appointments.

He is trying to get the terrorists, I mean Democrats, to come back and increase funding for small businesses which they fricking hate the guts of.
This gives him the ability to say I gave them the chance to return to chamber but they said nah we dont want to, let him decide.

Yeah lets just ignore that Mitch held up a supreme court nomination for 294 days despite congress being in session... this is how democracy slowly dies
Damn those democratically elected Senators doing what we voted for them to do
You must have forgotten that the Senate and the President must be on the same page to appoint a judge on SCOTUS.

A wise person researches something before they post it.
You must be old or a Democrat.

If he tries it, it will be interesting.
The devil is in the semicolons (among other details). Short answer, this power does not work the way many seem to think it works.
But if this is about appointments, it makes no sense. The Senate wants to work. The House is the problem.
But he does not NEED the House to confirm appointments. The Senate can do it alone, and they would not be temporary “recess” appointments.

just dont whine in the future if a democrat senate majority leader blocks the ability of a supreme court nominee from a republican president to be voted for confirmation for 25% of their term due to it being too close to an election....

Recess appointments for a variety of positions which have gone unfulfilled in fairly important roles in Govt ie DHS, Agriculture etc. Many of the roles have acting Directors as of now because of no Senate hearings aka interview
